O.k. I'm going to take a deep breath here...I was disappointed by the new Canucks jerseys, I was hoping they would be better...different. This is simply a variation of jerseys we've had in our past, but it's not very well done. On the brightside I do like the colours of the jersey, and the vintage insignia on the shoulder is nice. But, I do not understand why in the world we keep the orca whale!
The Skarks have a shark, the Panthers have a panther, the Lightning have a thunderbolt, the Canucks have a...have a...whale?
Answer: The previous ownership of the Canucks was a company named after an orca, which they used as their logo. Now that Aquilini owns the Canucks the orca whale does not fit at all. I would've been much happier if they pimped out the Johny Canuck logo, which is, after all, who the Canucks are named after.
And to top it all off, we have VANCOUVER written above the orca, just in case, you know we ever forget the city we live in. Beautiful!...pause not!
