Since many of you have said that you would like the jerseys without the wordmark, and without the blue sleeves on the whites,
I decided to photoshop what they would look like.





When I first saw the jerseys today, I hated them, but the more I look at them, the more I like them. I still think that they could have been much better.

when I see it from that perspective, it looks better with the wordmark because even though some people think its too crowded.. it looks so boring with just the orca

What gets me is that with the whole Canucks management/ownership/marketing team along with the full resources of RBK Hockey division THIS IS ALL THEY COULD COME UP WITH? SEriously, there is NOTHING new or fresh about this jersey. They took the old colours which someone else designed, and stuck the last logo - which someone else designed - on it and topped it off with some lettering.

Any 12 year old kid (no disrespect to the many 12 year olds on this forum) could have photoshopped this jersey and RBK/Canucks expect the fans to buy the fact that they listened to the team and put their resources to work to design a fresh-new look for the team? Please....

well i dont think how they look is the problem they are made with that new stuff. which will ultimatly make them play that much better.

Hey me and my buddy think the new jerseys are great, but the VANCOUVER is a little over the top. We created a facebook group for people who agree, see how many people we can get in it. I'm not here to start arguements, just getting the word out. If you like the jersey i respect that.

The group name is "Drop the "Vancouver" from the Canucks new uniforms!"

I love the colours. If you look at photos or replays of games, when the Canucks wore the green/blue they just pop right off the TV or photo. I don't mind the Orca but I was a "rink and stick" person.

The problem with it is the orca logo, plain and simple. The colours are great, but smashing a logo which was designed with different colours in mind into a great colour scheme is tricky.

The problem is that the logo has a colour in it that is found nowhere in the jersey. That very dark blue on the away jersey orca is almost black, and is nowhere on the jersey. Its a little better on the home jersey (dark) because the ice is white, so the blue is more like the blue in the middle of the stick and rink. The other colour problem is that green is found nowhere in the orca logo. Isn't it elementary design to incorporate the same colours in the logo as are in the jersey? I just find that the orca looks like it was slapped onto another concept, plain and simple.

The "Vancouver" is a little too big, but I'm not really that against it. My real problem is the amalgam of two concepts into one mediocre one. I'm not advocating adding green to the orca, that would be ridiculous, but they might as well have scrapped it altogether rather than try to force it into the colour scheme that we all seem to overwhelmingly favour.

The new jersey will grow on me. In my opinion, the white one is definetely much better than the blue one. On the blue jersey, there is barely any contrast between the white and silver on the bottom part of the logo. It makes the jersey logo look bland from a few feet away. The logo and colours on the white jersey has more "pop".

Also, Markus Naslund's captain "C" looked awkward being so close to the word "Vancouver".

all those photoshoped jerseys were way better!

there the worst jersey in the league i much much much much much much much much rather have the stick and rink then these pieces of crape 1million dollars we put into these,pay me 10 bucks and i would do better!
