There is no green on the logo at all, but there should be. It seems odd to have no green on it and yet the rest of the jerseys has the green.

I'm guessing you've hated the vintage all along eh?

Newsflash.. they were one of THE best looking jerseys in the entire league last year, and the only drastic changes made to it were the logo swap and the wordmark, so I guess these now make them the ugliest jerseys in the league?

Obviously somebody just signed up to vent frustration.

I really like these jerseys. The colors are amazing, and I like the redesigned orca. The word mark will take time to get used to, but by the time the team picture with the Stanley Cup is on the front cover of the province, I will like the word mark.

They are so bad they prompted me to sign up to show my disappointment. The original jerseys were the best of all the Canucks jerseys. I like the colours....it's the logo with "Vancouver" over it. WOW. such imagination. It doesn't change one's support of the team. It only makes one roll their eyes.

It looks like a fake jersey. I really like the colors, since they are the vintage colors, but the logo doesn't stand out at all. The logo looks really awkward on the stomach as apposed to the chest because of the Vancouver lettering. I'm a little disappointed seeing as a lot of the mock jerseys in this thread were superior to what we'll have to get used to seeing as we're all stuck with it.

They look fantastic with the much needed improvement on the orca, now it doesn't look so constipated! The original wordmark helps sell the 2010 Olympics and compliments the jersey's logos and retro horizontal strips.

I pretty much expected this type of response but I personally love the new jerseys. At first I wasn't too happy when I originally heard there was going to be a wordmark, and when the Fin's Friends leak came out I wasn't happy either. However, after taking some time to truly look at the jersey and think about it, I like it. In person it looks way better than any picture or TV/web broadcast.

The simplified orca is a drastic improvement over the old one. Removing the red and toning down the colors makes it look a lot less busy and way classier and gives it the kind of look where you can see it sticking around for 20 years while still looking modern but maintaining a sense of a vintage type feel that the old orca wouldn't have been able to accomplish.

Keeping the horizontal stripes and straying away from the vertical trend is also a good idea. Hockey jerseys IMO should always have that classic look to them and that's something that you can't do with vertical stripes. Plus, so many of the teams who have gone with vertical stripes have completely ignored the torso which makes nearly every new jersey look like a glorified practice jersey. To have a base color that's too dominant and doesn't have any type of contrasting color is ugly if you ask me and way way too simplified. The way the Canucks went about this jersey was perfect.

The wordmark while it is a bit extreme when you first see it, makes a lot of sense. If the team was going for the whole retro theme, having a bit of a tribute to both the Millionaires and the old WHL Canucks is a nice touch. It takes some time to get used to, but I like the idea behind it and once the initial shock wears off you really begin to appreciate it.

What we saw today, IMO, is the best uniform this team has ever had. The colors are just gorgeous, the striping is classic, we can finally establish a new tradition instead of opting for yet another brand new look after 10 years and when you judge against the other NHL teams, I feel that we're among the nicest looking jerseys now. I'm happy.
