Oh yes, absolutely any design would have had certain trademarking, legal and start up costs............but that still doesn't take away from the basic fact. Some imbecile saw this uniform and said "THATS GREAT, we'll take it" and it cost 1 million dollars.
Where we got the (lame) idea for our jerseys..................1 million dollars down the drain

Except you're wrong.

The new jersey is meant for morons like yourself.

wow that makes a ton of sense, its "meant" for morons like me huh? So they've designed a uniform for people who don't like it? Thats exceptional logic. I mean that really takes the cake.

I think I'd like it better if it said Canucks instead of Vancouver, but I still like it

Phize:

Move the the text up to the collar like the phone leaks, and make the C taller, it's too round/square.

Still don't see the need for ANY text above the logo at all though.

like this?

i kind of like the small canucks text look. its a nice little touch. just dont like the huge wordmark. theres too much happening in the front of the jersey then.

ps- im using Eurostile Blk by the way. I didnt like way Microgramma looked. In case you want to adjust it some more.

You misunderstand.

What I mean is that the jersey is designed for people like you who don't have any sense of the history that has led to the Canucks. The word mark isn't a rip off of the Blues, but is an homage to the WHL Vancouver Canucks, the NHL Canucks predecessors.

I don't think it's the greatest looking jersey in the world, but I don't think it's the ugliest one, either (that would be the Flying V.) That said, I'm happy that this new jersey incorporates so may things about Vancouver and the history the city shares with the Canucks and it's made me like the jersey a lot more.

You think that a jersey can only handle so much history, and then you see this atrocity.

I understand where the wordmark comes from (WHL Canucks,) but isn't there another way to honor that team's existence? Numbers on the front, perhaps?

Looking at what I saw Wednesday live, the C on Naslund is really squished up. So, maybe it is time to do away with the wordmark.

i dont mind the jerseys, but, all the other teams updated the logos by off setting the old one, and all we do is change our colours, why not make the orca look fierce. I love the Orca, but not the new colours.

thanks Marleau 12 for the sig.

Phize:

The Euro is fine even though they used Agency on the real jerseys and there are extended versions of it available to match Eurostyle Reg.

Move the C up so the middle is level with the workmark, make it a touch bigger, and while you're at it move the logo up a bit as well. That'd work nicely.

The jersey sucks. It sucks to the point that Zimmerman is trying to defend it in the media. Marketing firms & designers are commenting publicly about the shotty design. Everyone hates it. It was a big screw up. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy lost his job over it.

Also, I found it funny that people like flinch swallow the BS the management team is trying to feed the fans that the ugly design represents Vancouver. Its the same CRAP they fed us when they brought the orca in. Oh it represents vancouver blah blah. Thats why it was Navy red & blue just like The orca bay corporate logo. Thats why they have to put a big word mark "VANCOUVER" over top. Look if the stupid whale represented vancouver so well, Why would you have to put Vanouver over it. I thought that was the reason they went with the orca in the first place. It's just more backpeddling from Canuck Management.

that being said. Just get rid of the word mark atleast. If they really wanted to make the fans happy they would have stuck with original logo. They totally just bastardized our original jerseys
