That's exactly my point. It isn't that people like the orca their just glad it isn't something as ugly as we had before. That is not liking something. That is settling because its less ugly then something else. Well if they are going to spend a million dollars on new jersey its a great opportunity to get something people really like & that they wouldn't just be accepting because atleast its not the flying V

Nowhere in there does it say "atleast the orca isn't the flying V". They said they have nothing against the Orca, and they're not complaining. They also said that they wouldn't mind a new logo HOWEVER, they don't want that new logo to look like the Flying V, so they'd rather keep the Orca to play it safe.

I'm anti-orca, but not because of what the orca represents.

I think the logo is actually quite clever - it does have alot of subtle symbolism, but...

It's too busy - I like simple, classic logos, like stink-in-rink.

The logo you prefer contains no more of a reference to the team name, Canuck, than the Orca does. The majority of teams appear to consider the second most important element, location, of which the stick/rink contains nothing. It does have an element that appears to be the least important aspect, the sport. Why does this element appear the least important? Because the logo should represent the team, which is basically name and location. Any half-@$$ fan knows what logos belong to their sport.
