2014, yeah, that contract won't be ending too soon. I don't think it will flop if teams want to keep their existing design they can do so with minor tweaking. (e.g. Rangers: http://nhllogos.blog....-uniforms.html). Traditionalist may dislike it at first, but will eventually jump on board with their favorite teams jersey.

That has been all over this thread for the last couple weeks. We all thought it may be a leak of the new jersey but it is not (we don't think). It looks awful and I don't think the team would be stupid enough to release that!

Weird though how that picture is on Fin. Very interesting on how/where it originates from. Someone must have photoshopped it

Since when?

If anything, it's probably the most credible leak on here. It matches up with the vast majority of rumours that have been bandied about, ie) wordmark, "new" secondary logo, etc.

There's no way that's the jersey.

It just doesn't look anything like a hockey jersey that anyone paid to design would come up with.

The most credible leak on here - by far - are the cellphone pic jerseys. Now THOSE look like something marketers would come up with.

The FIN picture uses an image that's already established, namely the Fin's Friends logo, but not only has the jersey tweaked, but the rest of the logo itself. It uses already established design elements but re-orientates them/adds to them (ie the kids are in different spots, and you can see the boys shoe whereas in the original you can't). FIN'S is also written in the new font that the Canucks have been using on everything since the end of the season... even the original Fin's Friends logo wasn't THAT consistent with the rest of the Canucks look.

Add to that it's a photograph of an image that's been printed on what appears to be a glossy, heavy material.

So either the designers have tweaked the original Fin's Friends logo to be consistent with the rest of the new Canucks brand identity and someone managed to nab a photo at a print shop, or some photoshop whiz is REALLY, REALLY determined to pull a fast one on us.

I know there are a lot of Canucks fans with Photoshop/a lot of time on their hands, but the attention to detail is pretty much unmatched. I'm banking it's real.

And don't forget the home and away jersey are not supposed to be the same. So there's no reason the home jersey won't look something like the cell phone leaks and the away jersey will look like the Fin jersey

The old logo? With those colours? Not a chance.

Those stripes? Those colours? Two shades of blue with green? Horizontal?

That lettering? In cartoony font?

The leaked cellphone pictures have just as many rumours about new logos/colors/lettering - the only difference is, the jersey in the cellphone pictures don't look like they were designed by special needs children.

I'm guessing one of the kids dancing around with Fin designed his jersey.

okay, i found out when the jerseys are coming out. all i can say it that it's sometime during the week BEFORE training camp. i do know the exact date, but i'm sworn to secrecy.

Buddy, since the Fin's Friends program actually has to do with, you know, Fin interacting with kids, many of them special needs kids, not sure that was the most intelligent thing you could've said.

Do you have any proof it's not the real deal? No. I think it is, and I've backed that up with reasoning. So unless you work for the Canucks organization and have seen the jerseys, which if you're on this message board probably means you haven't, maybe you wanna stop speaking as if you're an authority on the subject.

okay, I also found out when the jerseys are coming out. It's sometime between now and the first game of the pre season. I know the exact date too but lb07 swore me to secrecy.
