I've modified the concept logo to incorporate the stitched blue ring around the inside, used silver for the crack in the ice, and replaced the white border with silver.
I've also added some textures/emboss to make it look more like a jersey crest.
I think it looks even closer to the leaked photo. What do you guys think?

I like it alot, looks great

I know there are a lot of Canucks fans with Photoshop/a lot of time on their hands, but the attention to detail is pretty much unmatched. I'm banking it's real.
Seriously though man, look at the jersey:

The old logo? With those colours? Not a chance.
Those stripes? Those colours? Two shades of blue with green? Horizontal?
That lettering? In cartoony font?
The leaked cellphone pictures have just as many rumours about new logos/colors/lettering - the only difference is, the jersey in the cellphone pictures don't look like they were designed by special needs children.
I'm guessing one of the kids dancing around with Fin designed his jersey.

Buddy, since the Fin's Friends program actually has to do with, you know, Fin interacting with kids, many of them special needs kids, not sure that was the most intelligent thing you could've said.
Do you have any proof it's not the real deal? No. I think it is, and I've backed that up with reasoning. So unless you work for the Canucks organization and have seen the jerseys, which if you're on this message board probably means you haven't, maybe you wanna stop speaking as if you're an authority on the subject.

okay, I also found out when the jerseys are coming out. It's sometime between now and the first game of the pre season. I know the exact date too but lb07 swore me to secrecy.

Everything you said to me applies to you also.
Yes, I understand Fin works with special needs children, that's why I think maybe one of them designed it, I guess there's something wrong with assuming special needs children probably wouldn't design a great jersey...
I'm not very PC, but I do have good taste in jerseys.
Your reasoning is that no one would bother to try and fool us with either a great photoshop:
Yet many people have done just that in this very thread - most unsuccessfully I'll admit.
My reasoning is this:
It's just a cartoon, the design looks nothing like any of the new jerseys unveiled so far, it uses the old "red outlined orca with blue water" logo, which it appears is definitely not going to be the case this year.
And, most importantly, a jersey like that will not sell. You're saying the Canucks might have invested 1 million bucks into that thing?
0 chance.

I will say this... I can see where the 1 million would go if it was invested in completely modifying the BRAND, instead of simply the jerseys. That would include a lot of design work and perhaps extend to replacing any evidence of the old logo at GM Place with the new one. So... a lot of new paint/signage, etc. That's my theory anyway.
We'll see within the next month I guess. I do deserve the right to say I told you so, however.

the jerseys will be slightly altered because of the standard changes they are doing to the jerseys for ALL teams, but I wouldnt expect much of a change beyond that. I think the vintage colours with the orca is something this FORUM made up, and that rumour has spread to media outlets.
I think everyone should stop speculating, creating rumours and making canuck fans look like general butt heads becasue they constantly want to change their uniforms/logos... What's wrong with the current?

I worked at a source for sports for the better part of this year and the last and one of the things that we get from our company representatives is extra little tidbits about upcoming products. Our ccm rep (ccm = owned by rbk) told us that the new sweaters would have the orca logo in vintage colours. This was way back before the playoffs ended mind you and before all the speculation on the canucks boards as far as I know. So unless no one here has any connections to rbk and everyone is just making random guesses with the orca logo and vintage colours, I would think its safe to assume that the new jersey will resemble what is being shown on these boards.

Did you happen to ask where he got this info? I have doubts the folks at RBK are telling the folks at CCM about everything. Especially when it comes to hush, hush info. Subsidiary companies rarely know about the specific dealings of the parent company. They tend to be seperate entities for the most part.
