I'm all for the vintage shift in design, being a seahawks fan as well, all of my clothes are slowly becoming green and blue anyways. IMO, ocean blue and forest green screams westcoast, also, from what I've seen so far the orca seems easier on the eyes, and much more stylized if shifted to a two tone vintage scheme.
I know some folks here may disagree with the whale, and I'm a big fan of simplified vintage "stick in rink" also, but what are we gonna do here - shoot fin for wearing a crappy jersey and toss the orca design? think of the kids here people... fin is here to stay. I don't see alot of toddlers hanging around "stick in rink" man.
edit: and for everyone thinking johnny canuck right now, a life size johnny would be about as creepy as that burger king dude, not cool. (not to mention he'd be carrying an axe...)
And god forbid they bring the duck back.

This is from a trusted poster on HFboards.com that is willing to bet money on it since he has seen the blueprints and what is interesting is that he isnt even a Canuck fan but still putting up a huge fight to prove everyone wrong. He had me in doubts as well but I trust this poster now and I am confident this is how the jersey will look like.

Think of those jerseys with the orca logo in blue/white with a Vancouver wordmark arched over the logo and a slightly updated stick/rink logo on the shoulders. Crest logo on whites will have a blue 'C' and the crest logo on the blue threads will have a white 'C'.
The striping on the white uniforms will be identical to the striping on the blue uniforms and the pants will have the vertical stripe (white outside stripes with green down the middle).
The fonts will be solid blue on the whites and solid white on the blue unis.
Like I always said, think traditional.
Okay, so the vintage jerseys as a base with this logo on the shoulders:

And these for primary logos:

With "VANCOUVER" written across the top in White on the darks and Royal Blue on the whites.
I am hoping that these arent the jerseys and the leak is actually the real jersey but I will judge once they come out.

What we know so far: (I will update the list as more becomes known)
- TEAM1040 reports that the new jerseys are IN TOWN
- The Canucks have allready had a closed door photoshoot with the new jerseys/player(s)
- Full Press Conference in "Late August" before training camp
- The Canucks have allready had a closed door photoshoot with the new jerseys/player(s)
- TEAM 1040 reports that the jerseys are expected to be "vintage colours"
- The Canucks spent over $1,000,000 on the design
- The jersey may or may not incorporate a new logo
- Canucks executives have said that the Orca logo will remain
- The new jerseys will have a tighter fit than previous versions
Taking a closer look at the Orca logo on the alleged leaked version reveals some interesting changes that make it more believable.
I have created a HIGH RESOLUTION VERSION (UPDATED) of the leaked logo. As well as the leaked word mark "CANUCKS".
I've also edited the image of the jersey so it looks complete, and added the new standard NHL neckline.

LEAKED JERSEY CELLPHONE PICTURES (Unconfirmed)

Archive of Rumours: (I will update the list as speculation continues)
- The jerseys will be blue/green/white vintage colours
- The jerseys will drop the burgundy/red colour and remain Blue, White, and Silver
- The orca logo will be slightly modified
- The orca logo will be re-coloured to fit the new colour scheme [Alleged leaked logo]
- The jerseys will have an entirely new logo
- The vintage "stick in rink" logo will be used
- The "Johnny Canuck" logo will be used
- The jerseys will say "CANUCKS" across the chest
- The jerseys will say "VANCOUVER" across the chest
- The jerseys will no longer have horizontal stripes, and instead will have vertical lines
- Recoloured Orca Logo - NaslundRocks
- Vintage Coloured Orca Logo / On Jersey - Evil_Ishmael
- Blue/White Orca on Vintage jersey / on blue jersey - DaveyG
- White Vintage with Orca and "VANCOUVER" text / with blue trim / Away - Pfizer
- New Jersey Template - nucks_bourdon
- Orca logo on Allstar Jersey - nucks_bourdon
- Johnny Canuck Vintage Concept / 3 versions - John Slabyk
- New Skate Logo Vintage Concept / 3 Versions - John Slabyk

the jersey on salo looks pretty sweet
still looks more like a practice jersey and not a real hockey sweater look
like chicago and toronto and boston's jerseys, all the original 6 and older teams have that real hockey sweater look
the new rbk styles all look like practice jerseys

Waited all this time and they're scrapping the new jersey. They're all going to be skin and protection.
Just watch.

Yeah the jersey on Salo looks fake. He seems to be swimming in it for one and anybody wanna tell me where the other half of his chinstrap went and why directly behind where his chinstrap would have been there is a lighter color on an angle that seems to be a bit off?
Or is it supposed to be like that and it's just a mock up?

the lighter colour is caused by the lights from the roof hitting the jersey. its just a mock jersey so...

Thanks Bronucks & luongorox.

It's just a mockup, but I didn't modify the size of the jersey or anything around his chinstrap...so that part is real.
I simply changed the colours, added white stripes and added the cellphone pic logo.

Good times. I didn't bother reading through the thread and thought somebody was trying to pass it off as a real picture. My bad.
