Happy birthday in advance!

Hope they can pull out a win for you and show us what they're made of.
I guess Oberg found his passport then eh?

How did Ellington do when he played with the Moose? It'd be great if he could stick up there with Manitoba, 'cos the Salmon Kings probably aren't the team you want him to be around right now I'd imagine, given how they've been playing so far this year.
As for Rome, conditioning stints don't require passing through waivers right? And we already have SOB as the 7th defenceman, so it seems like a good move to get Rome into some action and help the Moose out for at least a little bit - instead of sitting around in the press box until someone like Salo goes down with another injury. Also, apparently Nycholat's out till around the New Year, which does really suck.
Bootland's an interesting guy; I watched one of the game day highlights and he was scrapping with some Marlies player right after he scored a goal. Now that the Moose could certainly use more of!
Thanks for the birthday wishes!! I guess we'll know Thursday when the Moose head out if Oberg found his passport. I can't see him not having one by now without Zinger reading him the riot act!
I didn't get to see Ellington play since it was on the road but by what my other Moose friends say, he was steady. Can't really beat that when we're just looking to make sure no more guys go down injured! Although I hear the S Kings are starting to pick up their game after the roster moves. But the chances of Ellington sticking around aren't likely without more injuries.
Rome looked good tonight, picked up a lot of minutes and even tried to stir things up late in the game. I would say he looked off only based on the fact that he has never played with these guys so that was expected. And you are correct, conditioning stints are waiver~less. Nycho might be out for longer, he was expected back sometime in November but the injury was worse so he just had surgery about a week ago. That guy just seems destined to not play for the Moose
Boots is awesome. Definitely one of those guys you absolutely detest when he plays for someone else but love when he's one of yours. I know a lot of Moose fans hated him when he played for the Griffins but since his first stint last season, he's a fan favorite. The guy is total heart and soul. Like your example, scores a goal and sees Marco Rosa being worked over and promptly lets them know that ain't going to happen when he's around. It's just too bad he's once again caught up in the veteran numbers game. With Christensen and now Rome, he's had to sit -- I guess it all depends on whether or not Christensen clears waivers. If he does, likelihood of him staying after being re-assigned by Anaheim is high which is a blow for Boots getting ice time. When Rome leaves, it'll be ok until Baumer returns from injury.
The dump and chase is what Scott Arniel employed when the rash of injuries first hit. We literally lost all of our scoring prowess (ie: Grabner, Bolduc, Desbiens...) and it basically came down to defense and trying to capitalize on their opponents mistake. Until Pettinger and Christensen came along, we were really hurting for offense, clipping at a goal a game pace and our 5 game losing streak in there. And really, a few outbursts of scoring here and there hasn't changed the fact that we still clip by at a goal a game most nights. With the return of Bolduc and Desbiens, that should help but I don't think you'll see a change overnight, especially not after the way they played. Our style primarily, up until this season, has reflected Vancouver's.
What a night to bring their crappiest play ever. Do I exaggerate, yes but I'm miffed they didn't even bring their B+ game to the rink. So disappointed.
