It's umm.. well, lets just say it's hard after listening to Tom and Shorty. At least you can figure out what's going on though  . It's better than last year for sure. I mean... it's ECHL, so ya... it's bareable though!

Actually the Alaska guy is pretty good, I listened to him a few times during the playoffs last season when they were in Alaska, just cause.. it was better.

 Well I guess it's pretty hard to measure up to Tom and Shorty.

I'll have to check it out sometime, given that I don't get to anywhere near as many games as I'd like.

Anyone know where Bryan Bridges ended up? It would be a shame if he's not playing anywhere... I wonder if he woulda been doing better than Billy Thompson so far, but that's hard to predict anyways... we'll have to wait a little farther into the season and see how Thompson is doing... I hope Bridges can play somewhere if he's not already.

^^^ No idea about Bridges!!! Iv'e been wondering the same, tried to look it up but can't seem to find anything, so my gut feeling would say he's not playing... but I'm not sure.

ANyway, fish looking for 5th straight Win tonight!!! In Utah for 3! A team they SHOULD beat, they are 5-2 against 3 VERY good teams so far, in Idaho, Vegas, and Bakersfield... Utah is not very good, so lets hope they don't let their guard down eh?!? Also next weekend here against Stockton, another very beatable team, they can really do some damage in the standings the next 6 games... lets hope they do!

Stoked about some more games next weekend too :), going fri and sat, woohoo!

Tied 1-1 after the 1st now... Salmon outshot 19-5.. Ellis, after his stinker last night, is back to his old tricks!!!

Fish outshot 36-16 after 2. Lead 2-1!!!

Ellis, 35 saves through two periods. YEHAW!

7 Minutes left, intense!! Score still 2-1... Vic outshot 44-17 so far HAHA. Ellis I assume has been stellar.

SALMON WINNNNNNNNN!!!!

Outshot 48-21... Ellis with 47 saves!!!!

Record improves to 6-3. exellent.

That's great to hear!!!! I winced after learning that they lost to the worst team in the division by a big score (7-1). Perhaps they took things for granted in that game and I hope they learn not to sit back, just because they're one of the top teams in the division.

Heyy SalmonKing, glad to see you made it to our thread here haha.

Ya.. good rebound, especially for Ellis! 47 saves!! Tomorrow will be another test, again against Utah, who really is not a very good team, or shouldnt be anyway.. but pounded Vic on friday and put up a good fight yesterday, so we'll see how the Fish respond.

Stoked about the Stockton series, i may be going to all three games actually :o

0-0 half way through the third! Ellis doing his job again.. common Goldies, get some goals!!!

Ok sersiouly now... 10 seconds after I said that, Ash Goldie scored...

1-0

I credit myself more than anyone.

YAAAAH WINNNN!!! 1-0!!!

Ellis shut out!!! 24 saves! that means he has... in the last two games, he has allowed 1 goal on 72 shots!

Fish are 7-3-0!

SALMON KING NAMED IN GLAS CO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Quote

For Immediate Release
Friday, November 9, 2007

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Ash Goldie has been named the In Glas Co Player of the Week.

Goldie led the Salmon Kings last weekend to three wins by tallying seven goals and two assists for nine points. Victoria swept Bakersfield in a three game series last weekend.

“Ash had a very productive week,” Dan Belisle Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager said, “and he was a paramount part of the success we experienced during that time frame. There were many deserving candidates, such as Chanse Fitzpatrick in Dayton, but there is no doubt that Ash earned this honor with his performance.”

On Wednesday night Goldie counted all three of the Salmon Kings goals including the game winner with 12.2 seconds remaining in the game for a 3-2 Victoria win.

Friday night would see him collect two goals and two assists in helping the Kings to a 7-4 victory. Both of his goals were power play markers.

The series wrapped up on Saturday night and Goldie again hit the score sheet twice, and also scored the deciding goal in the shootout for a 5-4 shootout victory for Victoria.

Goldie finished with seven goals on 18 shots, and notched five power play goals.

The Salmon Kings return to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Wednesday, November 14th at 7:05 p.m. when they take on the Stockton Thunder. Tickets are available by calling 220-7889.
