Would there be chance in a pick up after what Kovalev commented about Carbo's Coaching.

Nonis should get on this..

You think he'd get along any better with Vigneault?

I like Kovalev, he's a great goal scorer but the fact is, he wont fit here with our coach.

I dont get why people have such a hard on for kovalev.

He's lazy. He argues with his coach (no timeout last game......... there was no whistle to call the time out)

You can bet your bottom dollar he and alain will NOT get along. As soon as kovalev starts to get lazy(which is a given), he'll be benched. THEN, we gotta deal with a headcase locker room cancer that will female dog and moan while he eats up 4 million of our salary cap.

That, and he will never return to the over a point per game pace he's achieved 3 times in his entire career(And only once putting together a full season)

Kovalev is washed up and a waste of cap space. He might look flashy on occasion, but the chance he'll actually do more good than bad is little.

Thanks for the Sig, LoveKesler

Past his prime.. ok but you could say that about linden, naslund, morrison ect.. why not get a guy who can put the puck in the net when the sedins set him up. He's big and plays well enough positionally IMO.

As for getting along with Alain .. He's not a Mike Keenan.. I think he would do what is necessary for this team to get goals. We need a skilled player to do that.. One with confidence and experience. And you say he bitches and moans well he won't when he's on a winning team. If what you say is true maybe his attitude will change?

(make not that this is just a discussion not a challenge..)

Many Canuck fans are just a little tired of having 1 scoring line and 3 grinding lines I think. Insane thoughts about acquiring cancers like Kovalev is desperation at its finest!

Maybe Naslund and Linden, but morrison isn't quite out of that range yet. Plus, Linden isn't expected to be putting up offensive numbers. I find out of those 3, only Naslund is really comparable.

I am not arguing his skill, I believe that his skill alone will help this team a lot. The problem I have with kovalev is his attitude. Alain will play his best players depending on each night, if kovalev isn't performing, he wont get the ice time. When kovalev doesn't get the ice time, thats when he becomes a problem. If he could put in an honest effort night in and night out, I would surely want him on this time.

Kovalev is too much of a headcase, and if is feuding with carbonneau, imagine what he'd be like with vigneault.(Who is a lot more strict)

Thanks for the Sig, LoveKesler

Hmm i see your point..

But for what is available would picking him up Add to our team?

in retrospect i think yes.. If it doesn't work out well whatever but this team is looking for a player of his skill.. and he might be available? do how could it be a bad thing?.

If spezza or Crosby was available of course we would try to get him but they are not. So yeah I don't think it's desperation what we need is someone who can help lead the team w/ Nazzy and Kovalev is available one would assume.

I could be the only one who thinks this lol

I'd be much more interested in aquiring Shane Doan. Word is a lot of things he was promised when he signed his new contract are now not going to take place. Doan provide leadership, muscle and scoring ability.

Sedin - Sedin - Pyatt
Naslund - Morrison - Doan

Doan would not be easy to pry out of Pheonix, but with some quality prospects and a roster player, We might be able to afford him.

Matt Cooke, Luc Bourdon OR Cory Schneider, conditional 1st (1st if we win division, 2nd if not).

Why would you want Kovalev?

Sure hes got talent, but he never uses it... he tries only when he wants to, and slacks off more often than not... in which case hes awful. Bad attitude, lack of commitment, lazy, rarely puts in a good effort. I dont want him.

Wow.

First of all, Phoenix won't do that.
Second of all, why this love for Doan? Sure he's a good team player/plays well defensively, but what has he done offensively that's so dazzling?
Thirdly, whatever Phoenix asks for will be too much. I don't want to give away our future for a guy who's never hit 70 points in his entire career.

I find it funny that the people who female dog about our lack of quality prospects are usually those who want to deal Bourdon and Schneider away. (Of course, I'm not directly relating this to Attica).
Proud Cody Hodgson fan since 2007.

Mike Keane is my hero.
