I think the reason why Luongo isnt playing so good defensively is becuz he knoes that the team lacks goals and he is trying to be more of an offensive player on the team. I wuz checking stats on NHL website and I noticed that Moe our 2nd line centre playmaker only has 2 assists and then I checked on Roberto and he already has 2 assists so he is keeping pace wit Moe. I think Roberto should just play goal and not worry about trying to get a break out pass becuz he sucks at playing the puck. He isnt TUrko and shuld just do what he does best so he stops pucks.

Lol, Only on CDC could a topic named "I knew Alexander Edler was good but..., I had no Idea" turn into a Naslund Bash fest. Morons.

As opposed to Luongo being an offensive goaltender?

Roberto might be tryin to make plays to help break the team out of zone. He might be lookin on ice for passes to make but he should focus on staying in and cutting down angles. He cud be out of position becuz he goes out of net more to play puck.

But seriously,
Some players are slow starters,

So why not platoon Luongo and Sanford early in the season, say until December 1 so Lui is alittle fresher come May and hopefully June?

before you posted this did you ask yourself these two important questions

1) how many times have you seen luongo try to make a stretch pass out of the zone?

2) how many times have you seen Luongo play the put to someobody from an area other than his crease besides leaving it behind the net?

im guessing you didn't

I dun think so becuz Roberto wuz so good in preseason and he didnt have to play puck so much as he does now. Becuz defence players play so bad Roberto has to put more on his shoulders so help tka pressure off his struggling ddefense.

We dun pay him to get 50 points but to keep goals out of net and win games with defense.

i agree that the d has let Lu down too much but I don't think that's at all related to Lu playing the puck.
He seems to be shooting it around the boards and passes it more than he did last year so far (OralFixation), but still with the same often sketchy results that make me think 'oh god, stay in the net'... sometimes..... from what I've seen on TV so far.

This thread brings to mind one of my favorite quotes: It is better to be thought of as a fool than to open your
mouth and remove all doubt.
