Pierre-Cedric Labrie Looking good so far

How has this kid looked so far?
I am impressed to see he is 5th in team scoring (6 pts in 7 games). I assumed he would have trouble cracking the Moose roster, and play as a fourth liner or else be a second line player with Victoria. He has already put up 3x more points than Bernier has in the AHL, and Bernier played 39 games.
Are these stats just a fluke? Benefit of good linemates? Or has he actually been playing really well?
Double the trouble.

From what I have heard his skating is awful. He is still young and has time to improve his footspeed, but if he doesn't I see him being another Lee Goren. A big body that is an effective power forward in the AHL but cant get it together in the NHL.
But from his size and physical play I think he has potential to be an NHLer, maybe another Dustin Penner but he has a long way to go. Penner was a late bloomer as well, undrafted and cut from his junior B team at the age of 16.
Double the trouble.

He wasn't a training camp invitee, he was a Canucks offseason signing.

Actually, someone said(I think AV) that Larbries skating is good for his size, but then again, skating good for your size and skating well are 2 different thhings

Props to S.Bernier for the Siggy

I didn't mean to say he was a "training camp invitee". I knew he had been signed by Vancouver and got the chance to join their camp instead of possibly playing university hockey.

It might not be a bad idea actually, but I can't really say either way I haven't seen him play.
Can anybody give a scouting report? Is mighty moose still around? I want to hear more about him. On paper he looks like a steal due to his size and point production, but for all I know he may be as slow as molasses and score easy goals that he would not be able to get playing at the nhl level.
Double the trouble.
