I would pay to see Kimbo vs Brock and so would you true fans. You guys that steal PPV events make me sick.

Interesting, Im still not banned.

;)

Unfortunately, if I wasn't in HK at the time of UFC 100, I would've paid and gone to Vegas to watch it live. Otherwise, props to those who streamed it.

The Admin told me he'd take care of it.

Why are you giving props to those who stole the event online? It's pretty pathetic that some ppl can't spend 50$ to watch UFC.

How are people suppose to buy it if they don't have a dish/box? How about those who are overseas? and you are right, some people cant afford 50 dollars for the fight. You do know in the times of a recession like right now, a UFC fight is considered a luxury. Heres a thought, instead of ripping on poor souls from a forum for watching the fight online, you should make your crusade against the bars and restaurants that are stealing profits from the UFC. Last I checked, the going rate is still 15 dollars in a downtown Vancouver bar or restaurant. Or better yet, just go to the casino's sports books pit, there is no charge watching it there.

How exactly are they stealing profits from the UFC?

Not so much stealing profits, but profits UFC are missing out from the bars and restaurants that are making a ton through alcohol and food sales by showing UFC fights. edit. Just checked that bars and restaurants charged for ppv rights depend on the maximum capacity based on the firecode. Still, the amount of money the bars and restaurants make on top of paying the thousand or two for the ppv rights, still a killer profit for the bars and restaurants.

Who are you? I'm just curious? I have never seen you on here before. I'm guessing you're probably from the canucks talk side. Oh well. That also doesn't surprise me. Anyways if you want to read what I bring to the thread. Feel free to look back through the thread or is that too much work for you. And yes I do speak down to you because you don't bring anything to the thread.

Who are you?

It's just the same old "talking down" garbage, and to be honest I don't see you adding anything to this thread either except being condescending.

I don't need to read through all 140 pages to see that you're full of crap.

I have been following this thread since it started and have posted in it a couple times, a couple of the things I have noticed on this one is: You for the most part know what you are talking about. You hate Dana White. You feel the need to belittle almost anyone who disagree's with you stating they know nothing.

I am not a "tuffer" as you call it, I have been watching MMA for much longer than the Spike series and while there are plenty of things I will agree with you on, there are plenty of things like your arrogance above that I don't agree with.

Not sure why you are so upset about this issue. I tend to buy every second or third PPV depending on the cards, but if there is only one or two fights I care about I tend to download it later. I support the UFC as I can afford to, which also includes the nights where my drinking overrides my wisdom when it comes to my credit card and I pay the $1.99/US to watch a single fight on the UFC.com.

The money the UFC makes as a corporation compared to what it pays it's fighters is still ridiculous, and I don't see any real harm in downloading a card or two in a calender year.

You're a friggin jaggoff if you want to see that one. Again, I don't take anything you write seriosuly since you're completely trolling this thread. And the bold typing is almost as annoying as your avatar.

Oh, and this guy here paid $200 US for a seat to see the show live. I guess I am entitled to some freebees, no?

Anyways, back on topic.... August 1, Affliction 3. August 8, UFC 101. I'm really liking those two weeks there!!

True fans don't consider Kimbo a legit MMA competitor, more of a streetfighter that was hand fed opponents and still failed

Not a huge fan, especially since I don't like seeing Gina get hurt. Sexy b!tch that one. Overeem/Werdum and Diaz/Riggs should be okay though.

And does anyone else think of this when they hear or read "Strikeforce"......

it's pretty much a symbiotic relationship, ufc has the right to charge bars/restaurants what they want to charge....

i'm sure ufc isn't crying about bars/restaurants making money... they should be happy that the bars/restaurants make money otherwise they will not buy-in next time.

for the ufc it's a no-risk proposition.also, they will get their fee even once the bar/restaurant buys-in, even if the bar/restaurant doesn't make any money,
