Harbinger
Nah. UFC 100 had Lesnar, 101 had Silva. Both won in pretty outstanding fashion. I think the point here is that the UFC's superstars are still the superstars, while other promotions don't have the one dominant fighter to work around. Don't get me wrong. Superstars are great. But rarely is a fight great because of the names of the combatants. Normally it's how the fight goes down. The only thing memorable about the Silva fight was that Silva didn't even try and that Forrest ran out of the ring. The fight itself was terrible. As for UFC 100. The only fight I found memorable was Henderson v Bisping. Lesnar won his fight but it didn't offer anything to fight fans other than a couple of names and some not so memorable quotes at the end of the fight. The best test for how good a fight was and is is, would you like to see them do it again?
Hordichuk
Fair enough, but the UFC has enough depth and potential for great fights. I'm stoked for Carwin/Velasquez and Marquart/Maia.

No question that UFC is where it is at now. But it by no means has all the best fighters around. It definitely has some good Heavyweights and by far the best welterweight division around. I would say that is the UFC's shining star. But as happens most of the fighters are getting old or over the hill and the UFC is still using them for nothing more than name value. The really good young ones don't seem to have that much real competition other than guys from TUF. The TUF fighters are not world class fighters. They are guys that weren't world class so they are getting a chance to be signed through other means. The UFC knows that these less than great fighters have some name recognition from the show and now uses them like chips at a casino instead of doing what is necessary to make better fighters. The UFC is actually threatening fighters that are not affiliated or even affiliated to other promotions and telling them that if they get sponsors they will be banned from fighting in the UFC. What kind of joke is that. The way you get great fighters is if they are sponsored by someone so that they can spend their time training instead of flipping burgers. hank4hire
Please. I love GSP, but nobody comes close to dominating their opponents like Silva does. The guy hasn't had a close fight in his entire UFC career. Henderson did have Silva in a bit of trouble when he was giving him the ground and pound (plus that cheap manoeuver where he puts his hand over the mouth and nose to restrict breathing) but we all know the end result of that fight

roster19
All the attention goes to Carano when Strikeforce's real superstar acquisition Gegard Mousasi shined. I wasn't surprised by the knockout, moreso by the sheer manhandling of Babalu. Getting a guy like Babalu isn't an easy task, so props to Gegard. He definitely reminds me of the vicious Shogun we saw in Pride(not that Shogun's past his prime).

Raoul Duke
Who are these "elite" heavyweights waiting for him in the UFC? Cain and Carwin who are still unproven? Lesnar who has 4 fights in mma? Give me a break. Ok, maybe elite was the wrong word. How about BETTER? You know damn well where the HW talent is. How is Carwin unproven at 11-0? Cain now 6-0? The HW division also has these guys named Lesnar, Couture, Nog, Cro Cop, Mir, Dos Santos, Kongo..... But you're right, outside of the UFC there's..... Werdum? Overeem? Iconic
who do you think would win in a fight, GSP or Anderson Silva??
-H.Sedin33-
who do you think would win in a fight, GSP or Anderson Silva?? i think Anderson Silva, just because he is ripping apart the LHW division, and i think this is the same as Penn moving up to fight GSP, Penn is a beast at 155, but he got rocked by GSP twice, just like Penn, GSP is a beast in the welterweight division, if he moves up, he may get pounded on, i would love to see GSP win, but i think Silva would beat him by TKO or Decision
Innovative
who do you think would win in a fight, GSP or Anderson Silva?? I wanna see that fight and I hope Dana makes it happen eventually. I'd say Anderson wins by decision but it'll be closer then ppl think.
Raoul Duke
Anderson would win for sure. Don't wanna see it or do I think it needs to happen. Like GSP/BJ 2, very pointless IMO.
