OMG Snow?

Just a reminder for people.  When it starts to rain the snow on your roof, shed, or car is going to get really heavy. You might want to get rid of most of that snow, and reduce your risk of a structural collapse. But be careful out there.

The Pat Bay highway was a total gong show this afternoon. Just like Monday, about an hour and a half commute for a 25 minute drive.

Two thoughts, why do Crown Vic cop cars have such crap tires on them right now? Are snow tires not in the budget? Paced one of them that was either sliding all over the road on purpose to check the conditions (at 5 km/h, no biggie) or he was genuinely battling his slicks. And what's the deal with all the BMW's having a hard time? It can't just be the tires on that car since I see so many of them struggling to get around.

Seriously, if you don't have 4WD or AWD and decent+ tires, just stay off the roads. Oh, and if you're an idiot you can stay off the roads as well. So many people racing up to intersections and hitting the brakes without the basic understanding of elementary school physics. Hopefully no-one was hurt in any of the accidents today, mostly looked like cars in ditches and medians, and tanker trucks that couldn't get up hills.

Tomorrow morning should be fun after a night of freezing rain.

BMW's are mostly RWD, which is treacherous in snow or icy conditions.

Yesterday was an absolute gong-show in Victoria. Our base was shut down early so I'm glad we were able to get out before the madness ensued. I still made it to the Victoria Royal's game so that was a bonus (even though they lost).
