YUP that is true, biggest lie in Vancouver is this sellout streak
the seats may be sold, but there are alot of empty seats

also 200 straight? for a franchise that has been around for almost 40 years? Brutal

I don't agree with you there, every city has some fans like that and so does Vancouver but for the most part we have some of the best fans in the league. Every city has their bad share and so does Vancouver, even Montreal and Toronto.

Anyways 200 is pretty big, it's the second current longest sellout streak in the NHL, behind the Wild only.

i would think the leafs would be first? but i guess not and i know the wild are hockey crazy but they are actualy ahead of us?

hmmm...I'm not sure you're refering to the violent way or the "other" way.....something tells me is the latter one

ANYWAYS...

compared to most hockey cities.....we're doing great
I admit at the beginning of the year, there were holes
now...hardly any

I'm also wondering how many of those sellouts are actually genuine. Many times last year, especially during the beginning of the season when the team was struggling, the Canucks and Enterprise had to buy the rest of the tickets before the game started just so that the game could be sold out.

I remember going to one of the games last year with a friend who had never been to one before. It was the game that the Blackhawks shutout the 'Nucks 3-0. My friend had asked me if this team ever sells out and then they announced the attendance and that it was another sellout. He looked at me in total disbelief because at least 20% of the seats were empty...and these seats never filled up during the game at all.

On one hand its not a sell out because there is always empty seats. On the other hand when tickets are going for 250 on the street me thinks there arn't many tickets available. Also how many games does any team actually have every seat filled? There is always some retard who doesn't want to give his tickets away and just sits on them .
I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out lol!

The crowd was much better three/four years ago, when we actually scored goals and had an exciting team. And don't give me that "We win now" bs. We still have just as many cups now as we did then.

The Wild have sold out every game since they have entered the league, impressive. The Canucks are second and the Leafs are third with about 182 consecutive sellouts.

As for the seats being empty, it's common. Have you seen a game in New York, Anaheim, Toronto? They are sold out but you wouldn't be able to tell with all the empty seats.

Maybe fans care so much about the team they are willing to financially support the franchise through buying tickets and not go to the game as it would bring them too much pleasure - a completely selfless act! Oh and maybe those that do go to the game are quiet so that they don't distract the players while they are thinking on their complicated plays - another completely selfless act!

It's actually pretty ridiculous, when I was at the Columbus game a few months ago the guy behind started tapping my shoulder and told me to sit down when I got up to cheer when we scored the first goal. Pretty, pretty, pretty ridiculous.

GM place is almost dead..sure theres a huge number of people but then all they do is cheer"GO CANUCKS GO!" maximum of 4 times in a game and the rest u can even hear the players passing the puck all the way up at the very last section of seats
and every once in a while you'd hear "LUUUUU!!" too...
and thats about it

Maybe, radical concept, they're watching the game? I never can understand when you see crowds that are really rowdy and it seems to have no connection to what's going on in the game. (I've been to Canucks games, during this sellout streak although granted it was dating back to the early part of it, and didn't notice it being that quiet.)

I can't see the game, but I know what everybody in the building or watching on TV sees because of Shorty, and I know exactly how they all feel because of Tom Larscheid.
