Canuck fans are the best, but this weekday crowd was brutal. Sounded like a library for the entire game. There were whispers of Go Canucks Go drowned out by a drum.... Garry Valk and Don Taylor even made mention of it, Valk said at 2-0 he could answer his cell phone no problem with the hush in GM Place.... i was shocked at how little we got on Theodore once we were up 2-0.... heck, it would not have made a difference probably, but the quiet crowd in such an important game does not give us a good rep.... I went to Los Angeles to watch the Canucks on March 10th, if you play the tape back, the Canuck fans on the road that night were louder than this crowd at home. Not an exaggeration. Let's pick it up Thursday night. Save the anger and booing, turn up the volume while we are still alive. If we are officially knocked out, by all means, boo like hell and litter the ice if you want. But at least have their back while we are still in it... Go Canucks! Go Away Bandwagoners!
GO CANUCKS GO!!!

Yeah, but they don't do anything to get the crowd going. Lousy music, they should be playing stuff that gets the crowd going.

yeah the crowd needed something where was mark donley for o\canada. or was it like corporate give away night please tell me we are not going to start turning into the leafs with stacks of seats sold to useless corporations who give them to non-fans. Anyway the biggest noise i herd all night was when lindens assist was announced. But then again the canucks did not give them much to cheer about.

I agree.

It was pin drop quiet when we lost the lead...that's NOT the time to shut up. That's the time that the crowd needs to rally and keep the team up. Now I know that it's not the fan's responsibility to take the bull by the horns, but they can certainly help keep the atmosphere alive. They failed. I could've single handedly done better.

I don't blame them.

The Canucks had less passion than the fans after the 3-2 goal. Not much to get excited about.

Finally my username # has some meaning.

The music does suck. I mean show some montages of big goals and have Stevie Nash pop up on the screen to get the crowd going etc.... like multiple times, not just once, the crowd pumpers suck and so does the dj... team needs a change in the game presentation dept. over the summer

Don't you know about the home ice advantage? That the crowd should stay in it despite the score? That it can have a big impact? I believe it does and the people there don't deserve those seats....seats aren't easy to come by but I know damn well that when my rear's in one, I make it be known.

Me neither.
Remember the days when the Canucks were a great road team?
The Canucks can't fault anyone but themselves. Twice they've have had "control over their destiny".

The Canucks should start cheering for us. We've seen everything but a Stanley Cup.

i remember Wild fans jeering cloutier in 2003 and 18000 people pointing at him and yelling you suck at the top of their lungs... i remember predator fans in a playoff game with a loud "chelios is a baby" chant after he whined a call..... we need to do more at games, the game presentations people and the fans

Canucks fans are stressed out, Deb. We're hanging by a thread.

If we don't make the playoffs, I'm going to try my best to forget about hockey til Fall '08.

You've got that right...those days are gone.

We used to go to a lot of games back in the Coliseum.

Now, as a single mom (with two kids who have s/o's), it costs me $400+ for a night out...let me think - groceries or hockey? It IS a tough call at times.

You think Toews would learn after the first time Mitchell levels him, but he keeps going up ice and doing it over again!!!!

They are professionals, they should play well, at all times, regardless of how much "noise" the fans make! And for the record, most of our "fans" that show up are people who get free tickets from their work and might care less about the team, or just bandwagoners after a win! We have a small group of die hards, myself included, that have the Canucks streaming thru our blood since we were children, and we seem to have more passion than the players do, if tonight wasnt do or die, I dont know what is!
