So, with all the sadness going on around here, RIP Luc, I thought I might try to lighten the mood a little bit. I was watching some highlights from the playoffs the other day and I saw the usual Octopus thrown on the Ice.

I was just thinking, you know, we really should have a tradition of our own like that. I was just thinking, when the Canucks finally do win the cup, I am planning on bringing a Millipede with me, to throw on the ice. You know, just as a symbol of how many Playoff games it has taken us to win a Stanley Cup.

Just a thought.

and what if we win the cup in another city? You planning go there and throw a milipede on the ice? And what if you pay to go to see all of the 4 last games and we end up losing? You end up losing alot of money :)

PS - Can you even see a milipede on ice?

That's a horrible idea, and i'm not just saying that.

Honestly.

That is a serious absolutely horrible idea.

I hope someone shoves that millipede up your peehole.

We don't make the playoffs ..........................

I did have a venomous millipede walk across the floor at my condo in Vallarta one night though, pretty creepy, I took off my shoe and splatted it.

PM.

OMG SUNDIN.

With all these obsurb ideas, i think we should drop Fin onto the ice from the floating whale balloon.
GO CANUCKS GO

Whenever I feel sad about the Canucks I just think about the Leafs.

I find trying the topic of the post misleading, how can you create playoff traditions. I think tradition is somthing that comes over time, after doing it a few times. I enjoyed the comment, some fans do have a sense of humor after all. We'd probally throw Salmon anyways....

On a slightly related note, I was at game 4 in Pittsburgh last Saturday, wearing my Canucks Jersey proudly with a Canadian flag as a cape (yes, i confused a lot of Pens fans, but many fans gave a little respect, especially with the Bourdon incident getting good coverage in Pitts) and my friend commented how sad it was that was the closest the Canucks have been to the cup in 14 years.... the worst part was i had to remind him that the cup doesn't go to the games where no-one has a chance of winning. Oh well, maybe next year?

That an interesting logic you have there, perhaps one day the canucks will test it out...
