Is this a no-brainer or what? Can we get the Aquilini's to root through their Armani suit pockets, scrounge up a few grand, and commission a statue in Linden's honour? They can throw it right in front of GM Place. Preferably a shot from '94. Linden as I'll always remember him... The old skate jersey with the "C". Thoughts?

I wouldn't be surprised to see him standing outside GM place for eternity one day.

Will this ever end?

A Linden stamp?

A bridge?

An airport?

Mt. Linden?

And last, but not least, I KNOW Cody Hodgson is going to make Gary Lawless (of Winnipeg journalistic fame) look like the idiot that he is. Cody has pressure to rise to NHL level play, but I believe he will rise above it and win the Calder. I said it here, today...remember that.

Seconded. Folks are getting a little out there with the Homering. I mean, he deserves his number retired and a job for life somewhere in the Canucks' organization, but streets? Holidays? Statues...? Sure, he's a great human being and at his best a very, very good hockey player, but c'mon people...we're not canonizing a Pope here.

Vancouver
welcome to the city of "Trevor Linden"
OMG SUNDIN.

I think that it would be cool to have a statue. Maybe in a couple of years?

a linden statue would be great, how bout one from the 94 toronto series where he is on his knee with his stick up, great image, or a statue of him in a skate jersey with the C, I would even donate money to have it made

Coming soon to a Vietnamese restaurant near you:

A statue of Buddha with offerings of oranges and incense

A statue of Linden with offerings of bread sticks

I dunno it sounds better than Reagan International Airport (Linden International). We can rename Grouse Mountain to Linden Mountain. People would do "The Linden Grind".

Have a cycle race from Vancouver to Banff (Tour de Linden).

False Creek could be renamed Linden Inlet linking Canuck Bay.

While we're at it lets rename the Oak St. Bridge, Pavel Bure Bridge. Cambie Street Bridge to Brodeur Bridge. ;)

Ok, yes now it's getting out of hand. But a statue in front of GM Place isn't extreme, its a testament to the kind of guy Trevor is. But maybe we should wait until when we win a Cup before putting a statue up yes? Unless we put up a Cyclone Taylor Memorial celebrating our cup win in 1915 and honouring the Vancouver Millionaires. Which I certainly wouldn't mind!
