The Streets Have No Name always immediately connected me to players who are now gone, so it's become irrelevant. Nazzy, Mo, Trevor, Bert, Jovo, Cookie...it was THEIR song and it just can't work now. I never really liked that song, but when it became the Canuck's song, I loved it. It gave me goosebumps every time I heard it come blaring on at GM Place. Now it just brings sadness. Yep, I think it's time to move on - a new team, a new identity, a new song.
While the lyrics in this song are good, I don't think this song has enough "umph" to get players fired up. A little too soft.

Just throwin' it out there. Honestly, I don't have a problem with Streets. Doesn't make a huge difference to me.
Let's go eat, Johnny.

Exactly. This song is a classic. There was a thread where I said earlier. This song is awsome for the pre-game.

Though to be honest, I am not sure if I'll get goose bumps hearing it this year...or just melancholy memories of Markus and Brendan.

You honestly think that we should have a heavy metal song as our intro. Wow, that would sound awful.
