Burrows? Do We Really Need Him?

Burrows is great on the forecheck that's for darned sure. Kesler, and the Sedins are really good also. Sammy, and a whole bunch of others. We're a strong forechecking team. We just have to keep a balance with the strategy that we have to use to play good in front of Louie. I always try to get shutouts in NHL10. It's alot of positional play. Forechecking's nice if we can rush back to defense afterwards. I say we work on that aspect to make for more solid play. And positional play to support this type of play.

I've gotta go do some stuff for my beautiful daughter though. Gotta fly again.

I know allot of people are going to scorch me for this but I fail to see the reason why nobody questions his ability to play in the nhl. Every game i watch with him in the lineup(all of them) I find myself screaming at the tv because of the stupid stuff the guy does. Personally i'd rather have any of the guys that are fighting for a spot on the team rather than burrows. Everyone's #1 reason they like this guy from what I read on this forum "He's great on the pk. Who cares! Anyone can do this thats fighting for a spot. He can't score and i'm tired of kesler carrying this guy on his back night after night, I'm tired of him losing the puck, falling down everywhere seriously this guy falls down a hundred times a night can't he skate its ridiculous, stupid penalties its endless. "He plays with grit" is another common description tossed out when his name comes up. That ok sure he pisses off guys but fails to do really be able finish that job off by being able to fight because he can't. IMOP he's an embarrassment to the team. Please Gillis let this guy go keep Krog or Pettinger or Brown whoever. let er rip.

Wow I can't even believe I am responding to a post that is clearly posted by some flames fan who wishes he was on the flamers...28 goals last year, on pace to break that this year. All heart, effort, drive, plays the PK (if you look at his points most are even strength - little pp time vs somoene like Raymond who has fewer goals and 8 on the PP - as much as I love Raymond). Guy makes 2mil a year and is a steal and a big part of the character of this team.

You clearly no nothing about hockey son. Guy makes it to the NHL from the ECHL and is a core part of a young talented contender and makes 2 mil a year...every GM in the league is drooling over this guy next to the Sedins and Kesler. There's a reason he name was mentioned as a longshot for team Canada last year.

Give your head a shake

I still lol at the people who come in here and say bad things about the person who posted without noticing the date it was posted.

So righteous, too. Saying stuff like "son" and "give your head a shake".

Really ups the entertainment value, doesn't it? Keeps it fresh.

And clean.

And crisp...

Hm, gotta run to the store before the game!
