Lone_Prodigy
Two Burrows moments stick out for me: 1. Game 5 vs. Anaheim, Ducks up 1-0 in the third, Canucks looking dead except for Luongo, then Burrows scores! Tie game, we go to OT, Canucks still mucking around until Luongo waves his arms and lets it in. Yeah I didn't think they would've won but Burrows and Luongo gave them that chance. 2. That game last year where the Oilers officially eliminated the Canucks. It was 2-0 in the third, then Burrows scores! Didn't matter anyway, but Burrows and Luongo gave them a chance. vancity787
I know allot of people are going to scorch me for this but I fail to see the reason why nobody questions his ability to play in the nhl. Every game i watch with him in the lineup(all of them) I find myself screaming at the tv because of the stupid stuff the guy does. Personally i'd rather have any of the guys that are fighting for a spot on the team rather than burrows. Everyone's #1 reason they like this guy from what I read on this forum "He's great on the pk. Who cares! Anyone can do this thats fighting for a spot. He can't score and i'm tired of kesler carrying this guy on his back night after night, I'm tired of him losing the puck, falling down everywhere seriously this guy falls down a hundred times a night can't he skate its ridiculous, stupid penalties its endless. "He plays with grit" is another common description tossed out when his name comes up. That ok sure he pisses off guys but fails to do really be able finish that job off by being able to fight because he can't. IMOP he's an embarrassment to the team. Please Gillis let this guy go keep Krog or Pettinger or Brown whoever. let er rip. im just goin to assume this is a joke. he and kesler and hansen arguably have the best line in the league right now.... they can score, keep the other team from scoringm and knock the $hit outta people in the process. plus burrows is I THINK tied for the leading scorer on the nucks now. so how the hell can u say he doesnt put up points.?? moron
Plough Cat
Burrows is tied for fifteenth in league scoring with five points in four games. He's alongside the likes of Martin Havlat, Keith Tkachuk, Mike Green, Scott Gomez, and Daniel Sedin. Holy doodle. slapmesilly
This post baffles me. He is a cheap 3rd liner that plays consistantly like he is playing his last game. I can see someone come up with this post when a bad player has a good game, and you want to raise a point...but Burrows has been consistant for years as a hard worker who occasionally gets a goal; sometimes a beauty of a goal too. And, he is one hell of an agitator that doesn't take many penalties to boot. Now that I've praised him, I don't mean to knock him...but we have bigger concerns to worry about on this team than a cheap grinder.

D-Money
I've loved Burrows from his first game. My only concern over whether he'd stick that first year was his skating - he was always falling down! It was like he thought he was still playing ball hockey! But every month he seems to get better and better, and his skating is definitely no longer an issue. (Him being able to protect the puck while fighting off the check of Hossa and STILL deliver the breakout pass was amazing.) I say sign him now for 2 mil/4 years before he gets to the point where he can demand over 3...because at this rate it won't be long...
