Burrows? Do We Really Need Him?

Bah. 3 years later and the OP words still ring true. Fact is he is worth more on the trading market than he is in a Canucks uniform on the ice. Its not hard to find someone who can score with the Sedins. I don't thing anyone was too heartbroken over Anson Carter when he left. He is definitely expendable and MG should consider him a tradeable asset when looking to shore up the Canucks defense. +1 for the OP from me

How'd I ever miss this lil gem?

Sometimes 5 goals don't equal one important one that's timed just right. You know, a short handed goal that totally pumps up the Canucks' bench while fizzling out the opponent's momentum just when they're starting to press? OT winners that end playoff series? Burr's good at those ones.

Fans who only look at goals aren't looking hard enough at the overall game of hockey. When a game seems out of reach, Burr is the one guy who always believes we can reel it back in. And skates hard every shift in order to do so. You just can't measure that on a stat sheet.

Expendable?

Anson Carter IS NOT Alex Burrows, so that's a weak argument.

Bah is right.
