Deb your graphics are getting fancier and fancier. I like it!

Vintage Burr today. I've met Hal Gill and he's absolutely massive. Burr did great to get in his face.

Burrows is like hobbit

“My dear BURROWS!’ exclaimed Gandalf. ‘Hobbits really are amazing creatures, as I have said before. You can learn all that there is to know about their ways in a month, and yet after a hundred years they can still surprise you at a pinch.”

Small in stature and size. Large in heart and determination.

Hopefully there is something left of him for the playoffs. I wonder how many penalties he has actually DRAWEN this year.

Well i dunno about this fellow. Maybe he is over the hill now. just look at his point totals. His production has taken a dramatic slide this year opposed to the years prior.

Year G A Pts

2009 – 10 35 32 67

2010 – 11 26 22 48

2011 – 12 28 24 52

2012 – 13 13 11 24

I may be wrong, but the numbers do not lie. Maybe clutch had something after all.

09-10 Daniel was out for quite a bit with injury, Burrows and Raymond picked up the slack.

10-11 Burrows played 10 less games, not enough missed to get 19 points but enough at least to score 6 or so.

11-12 He scored 52 points, what's wrong with that? Since 08-09 he's been averaging 50 points a year.

12-13 It's a shortened season, he was pretty much on pace for another 50 point year.

Plus he is getting older, every year he's another year older. When (most) people get older their production slows, that's reality.

Filppula

5 years @ $5m per

Doesn't PK

Doesn't play physical

Doesn't agitate

Only one 40+ point year in seven seasons

Yet in your mind Burrows isn't worth $4.5m.

I know allot of people are going to scorch me for this but I fail to see the reason why nobody questions his ability to play in the nhl. Every game i watch with him in the lineup(all of them) I find myself screaming at the tv because of the stupid stuff the guy does. Personally i'd rather have any of the guys that are fighting for a spot on the team rather than burrows. Everyone's #1 reason they like this guy from what I read on this forum "He's great on the pk. Who cares! Anyone can do this thats fighting for a spot. He can't score and i'm tired of kesler carrying this guy on his back night after night, I'm tired of him losing the puck, falling down everywhere seriously this guy falls down a hundred times a night can't he skate its ridiculous, stupid penalties its endless. "He plays with grit" is another common description tossed out when his name comes up. That ok sure he pisses off guys but fails to do really be able finish that job off by being able to fight because he can't. IMOP he's an embarrassment to the team. Please Gillis let this guy go keep Krog or Pettinger or Brown whoever. let er rip.

What?! Other than his rather unorthodox or spastic skating style - which ain't text-book pretty...& the Auger-gate-taint that unfortunately still haunts him,.. Burr has been an energizer bunny & Mr. Clutch!

I agree with the comments of a previous poster - get a clue!

Wow! Just noticed how freakin' old this thread is! This question can't possibly still be raging on...can it?
