Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
Don't know why The Beat had a tent set up. Last time I was in Vancouver (which was a while ago) they couldn't care less about the Canucks. Maybe they've changed. Stealing people from the crowd, of course. Keep in mind it is a grand opening. FS91
Got there just before 12. But I didn't end up making the first 300 people. I waited in the secondary lineup till 4:30. And ended up being short by about 10 people Guess I'll try again next time. By the way anyone know when the next one might be?
egatti
I was there at the Burrows signing, but I decided to leave because I was way back in the lineup and it was pretty obvious i wouldn't get a chance to meet him. I got there at 1:30pm, my car wouldn't start and I went to get a 'Burrows rookie card' I was towards the end too (I didn't have a ticket) but he stayed longer and signed some more so i got an autograph What time did you get there? Yes it is true, my water broke at the same time Alex Burrows drove into the Best Buy South Surrey parking lot today. Thank you to all the great staff at Best Buy, especially Tim the General Manager for helping us. After spending 4.5 hours waiting for Burrows' arrival, I guess my baby had different plans for me as I spent the next hour in the ladies washroom. Funny enough, when I was finally ready and they escorted me to meet Alex before we left for the hospital, we were almost in the exact same spot we would have been had we stayed in the line up. A huge thank you to the sweet lady from behind us in line, that helped me as my husband ran to get me new clothes from the Walmart! If you happen to read this or know the lady I am referring to please let me know. We are currently back home and labour is progressing. Talk about a memorable first! Wow Name your kid after Burrows! Why not? I named my son Linden Got there just before 12. But I didn't end up making the first 300 people. I waited in the secondary lineup till 4:30. And ended up being short by about 10 people Guess I'll try again next time. By the way anyone know when the next one might be? Thanks for the post. I was wondering if I did the wrong thing. I left right away because one of the 'Best Buy' guys told us that we wouldn't get to see him and yet people in-front and behind us stayed. If Burrow's hand is sore I wouldn't be surprised
alexburrowsfan14
i tried to go to the alex burrows signing today in south surrey and im from maple ridge so i left my house about 10am thinking im going to get there early enough. so anyways i got there about 12:30pm and they were not letting more people so i left. but now i heard that sign more than 300 people a part of me wished that i stayed around. but whatever it happens i was alittle upset at first cause burrows is my favourite player. but im happy cause im going to tuesday night game against the coyotes that going to be a great game. hopefully next time alex does another signing i will leave much earlier. Canuckle Shuffle
That's great to hear, especially from an international source, Burrows deserves the praise and recognition. Wow, Chris Drury...currently equates to almost $280,000 per point on his current salary... Edit: To put Alex Burrows' development in perspective: 06-07 Season - 3G, 6A, 9PTS, -7 in 81 games played. 09-10 Season - 34G, 28A, 62PTS +31 in 75 games played. pwnstar
yah, carey price was overhyped. sure he had some spectacular games but he was inconsistent when it came to steppin up and establishing a winning role. but hey!, they are in the playoff picture, no need to underestimate him just yet.
