I've perhaps seen more of Bliznak than anyone

His hockey-sense is through the roof, never makes a bad play
He's best in the corners, he'll always fish the puck out if he's got a man on him
If he's in a position to score, he'll score, dont expect him to pull an Ovechkin, but he wont fan at shots and he gets in the right shooting position
A poll of WHL gm's if i recall correctly, said he was the best two-way center in the dub

He'll be a very useful 4th line NHL player, PK specialist, the kind of you guy win cups with

I like your take. Remember he is learning from a master in Winnipeg, Keaner! If he is able to bring Bliznak along the way he did with Burrows and Hansen I will be a very happy Canuick fan.

So he hasn't been the most outstanding member of the Moose this playoffs, but I thought this thread deserved a bump. Bliznak only turned 22 this year, it's his second or third? year in the AHL. I think one day he can be an effective depth player, that third or fourth line guy that will win the big faceoffs in your own zone, kill penalties and block shots. Here's hoping he sticks with it and becomes a bonafide NHLer.

I agree with what you are saying, I think the kids got potential. This is actually his FIRST year in the AHL he played as an over-ager in the WHL. So this is he rookie year and he's kept a solid roster spot all year and into the playoffs even with the Moose's depth. He could be a good checking forward for the canucks in a year or 2.
Good Job Mike Gillis, I know you could do it!

It did, he has started to make a name for himself by doing his job in this years playoffs.

Did anyone here see the recent Manitoba highlights. I loved it when he used his skating and crashed the net, he was just flying everywhere on that play. I wouldn't mind seeing this guy as a call up next year even if it's highly unlikely because Bolduc is higher on the depth chart.

Any chance that he will eventually, in the futre, replace Ryan Johnson as a PK/Defensive/Face-off specialist?

Thats the way it is now. IF you're rich you go to the game. If you are middle class you watch in hd, if you are lower class you watch in sd. If you are broke azz you listen to the radio.

Sure, there's a chance.

A cool future fourth line could be "Bliznak - Bolduc - Rypien", homegrown and pretty fast paced.
