avelanch
I thought he looked a lot more promising than I expected at camp. I don't think this step back will hurt him long term. He's still got a shot....albeit a long one.
Crowfro
Atleast he can take his Mercedes to Victoria.
Donky
he looked vastly improved from the year before, that's for sure. it may just be a case of too many forwards right now. plus he'll get much more playing time in Victoria.
keredz
he must be ready to return from injury. At least he'll have a chance to play on the top line down there.
Bruce Boudreau
Wow I thought he had a decent prospects camp and a good shot to make the Moose.. guess not. The Moose have a ton of depth so I don't think he will be in Manitoba for awhile. Taylor Ellington had the same thing happen to him. He got sent to the Salmon Kings because the Moose have alot of d-man.

luongo_4_life
sucks for rai because of his injury, he didn't even show the moose what he could do, i expect him to put up pretty good numbers in Victoria and be called up to the moose pretty quick
Crimson-JH
Why are you guys making it sound like it is a bad thing for prospects to be send down to Victoria? It's better than not playing any hockey games! I can't wait to meet him when he visit Las Vegas in 2 weeks!
Rey
Other than that. Expect Rai to be in the ECHL next year, not the AHL.

Ghostsof1915
Is Rai still injured? He listed with the Salmon Kings but it doesn't look like he's played a single game yet?

Ghostsof1915
So Sauve and Rai are injured, but no comments from either organisation about either player? Abducted by aliens perhaps? Maybe Gillis has a top secret bionic hockey player program in place?
avelanch
OR Gillis learnt from the Cody Hodgson Media incident that the media shouldn't be given any access to an injured prospect, lest they (and gullible fans) imagine and create an issue where there is none. Hell, the St. Johns media tried to create a story out of not being given access to Sauve. I'm inclined to agree with Gillis on this one. Media blackout until the player is ready to come back. avelanch
Rai called back up from Victoria (didn't even play a single game) http://theahl.com/stats/transactions.php 11/30/2010 Prab Rai © Manitoba ADD Reassigned by Vancouver (NHL) from Victoria (ECHL) Looks like he'll be making his professional Debut with the Moose afterall. I'm guessing this is because of the 2 recent call ups the Canucks had.

avelanch
Could be. Kevin Clark was injured too...
Squeak
yeah, he went into the end boards hard at the end of the heat game and went immediately off the ice instead of joining the play. he returned to winnipeg for evaluation/x-rays
avelanch
Hopefully Rai can put a 'injury-plagued' off-season behind him.
AK_19
Like I predicted. Sure, people will give him an excuse cause of the injury, but Rai would have been in Victoria anyways. He isn't ready to play in the AHL, at all. He lacks everything, but speed. He won't be a call up, any time soon like some suggest. I'd be surprised if he didn't stay in Victoria, for the next couple of years.
