He's also the only big-name player in junior to have more goals than games played right now. With 11 in 10. He just scored his first junior hat-trick the other day. And then the 4 goal game... (Is he streaky?)

But why was he out so long? I heard he got suspended. But was he hurt as well?

I wouldn't consider him streaky. If my memory serves me, isn't he more of a playmaker then a goal scorer? I mean, looking at his points, if he isn't scoring then he's setting up goals. So when I think of a streaky player (ie: Grabner), they are either getting points or invisable. Hodgson is getting points very consistantly. He's never been invisable...has he?

Thanks to 1444 for the cool sig!!

It is quite possible that Schneider could finish the 08/09 season in the AHL and then start the 09/10 season with the Canucks as Luongo's back-up. That would mean he has less than one year left on the farm team. He also doesn't have much say in the manner so how he feels about it should be inconsequential.

Luongo's backup plays about 10 games and sits out the other 72 how will this help Schenider's development
Montreal Canadiens June Mock Draft

55th Shawn Lalonde- D- Bellville (OHL)
85th Eric O'Dell- C- Sudbury (OHL)
116th Brodie Reid- RW- Burnaby (BCHL)
206th Mike Murphy-G- BellVille (OHL)
Trade: To Montreal- Mikko Koivu To Minny- Michael Ryder (UFA) and Chris Higgins

I agree, Schneider should play 15 - 20 games next season as Luongo's Back-up. With Two Franchise Goalies in our roster we can have a chance to win every night. Also Lui might enjoy 15 games off for a change 57 - 65 games is still alot.

Does Luongo ever look like he is enjoying a game off?

you can't really compare the CHL with WHL as the CHL consistently has a higher goals per game average than the WHL.

Yeah im loving hodgson. This kid is gonna be amazing. He's gonna have a career year in junior, probably captain the canada's junior team to hopefully another gold, and he'll be a canuck next season. Friggen guy has 8 points in his last 2 games of which 7 are goals. Thats nuts!

Credit to R.Luongo. for sig.

I'd buy that argument when comparing the W with the Q, but I think you can compare individuals between the W and the O.

For instance, Jamie Benn of the Rockets has 1.88 pts/g and Evander Kane of the Giants has 1.86. Are they better than Tavares too? Sweet.

Honest to god I don't think I have ever been this excited for the WJC on account of Hodgson. Really, REALLY hope he will be the Captain and I wonder if Yann Sauve has a good shot at making the team?

God, not to mention all the talent we'll be tested against. This will be one beyond epic WJHC.
Yann Sauve has been playing very well, so I hope so.

Hodgson is consistent and from what I've gathered is at least noticeable every game, if not the go to guy for impact.

Not too bad considering earlier in the season he was -6 and it's just been going up.

Thinking about our team in 2-3 years is getting exciting.

Raymond - Hodgson - Demitra
Grabner - Wellwood - Bernier
Burrows - Kesler - Hansen
Bliznak - Rai - Rypien
Hordichuk.

Edler - Ohlund
Mitchell - Bieksa
O'Brien - Sauve

Schneider/Luongo.
Sanford.

Oh yeah.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

He was suspeneded early into his season, but he missed the beginning of the season because he was playing for the Canucks (preseason).

Yea he's looking great. Even had a fight!

+/- really is a B.S. stat. Too many variables.
Sig too big.

Considering the Battalion are not a very good team, so I'm not too surprised or worried about Hodgson's -3. Hopefully his plus/minus will improve, but as long as it doesn't dip too low, I'm not too fussed.

The -3 i suspect is the direct result of his Penalty minutes. opposition scores while he is cooling his heels in the Box.
That made no sense....

Asides from Hedman in Sweden, which are some other good talented teams that will ice some good youngsters and what kids do they got? I wonder if Froshaug will play for Norway, or does Norway even have a WJC team?

No, no it doesn't.

You have to be on the ice when an EV strength goal or a SH goal is scored AGAINST your team.
