Is Grabner simply a slow starter?
Will he be able to earn a spot on the big club next season if his current pace holds steady, or are the chances higher that he'll need significant improvement in order to avoid another year in Manitoba?
Possibly a bust?
I'm a pretty big fan of Grabner, and I'd love to see him shatter everyone's expectations at the NHL level and become the pure goal scorer and finisher this team needs, but based on his current performance, show at training camp, and his pattern from last year, what is the general opinion of him?

If he normally always takes a month or two to pick his game up, I'd be glad to hear it. You want players hitting their peak during the end of the season when the playoffs start. Just look at what happened to Ottawa last year with their great start.

Being a slow starter could be a knock, but I'd rather have a guy that picks it up in the 2nd half rather then the alternative. (one who only appears in the 1st half) Last year of his 22 goals I think most of them were later in the season and it continued into the playoffs where he had 3 goals in 6 games. (5 games?)

The Beatles are pathetic. They only were a boy band. The Kinks are the greatest british band of all time.

Umm, Nycholat was not drafted, by anyone. He was signed by Minnesota Wild as a free agent. He is not exactly a kid, he is 29 years old.

he's a kid

gives Bieksa a little more time to heal
29 years old.... I did not know that

Well he was great in the pre-season too, was actually surprised he didn't make the team as our 6th but it's nice to know we're still deep on D.

He didn't survive the first round of cuts.
However, according to Botchford in his archived blog, that move was pre-meditated.

I'm sure it's been brought up here before. Gillis is asking a lot out of Krog to stay in the AHL another year, though.

why is that, krog didn't earn a spot on the team this year, simple as that. Success in the AHL doesn't necessarily mean success in the NHL, and Krog is f*ckin old to be a prospect so i prefer him as a call-up

he scored 20+ last year. This year he is on pace for 30+...............how is this bad news?
