I'm thinking I could make a monthly Draft poll that takes our current draft position and give the players that are ranked around that area so we can go back at the draft and see the general sentiment of the board. Thoughts?

Miss the playoffs: Hope for Kane or Panik or Schenn
Middle of the pack: Stefan Elliot or Ryan Ellis
Have a great season: Tyson Barrie (if he drops) or Landon Ferraro.
Mark my words, Stefan Elliot will be an amazing NHL player. Great two-way player, can score, can pick up assists, can lead by example (although most first rounders have most of those qualities), but when Elliot plays I just feel like he's going to do more than other players. That and he's on a four goal game streak.

Let's say Vancouver gets the 15th pick. And you're looking to bolster our D-corps.
Would you risk taking Ellis, knowing that he's got more points than Tavares right now, but also knowing that he's a 5'10" d-man who barely breaks 170lbs?

if i had to take a D at 15 it would be DAVID RUNDBLAD calvin de haan or SIMON DESPRES

love to see a pre draft poll, wouldn't mind seeing kane left off the list as i think most canucks fans want him and it would be kinda pointless to do one then. also we'll be picking somewhere around 20 and he'll be long gone by then. wouldn't mind seeing who people want in the 2nd too

I'd take a forward.
We got Bieksa, Edler and O'Brien on the roster, with the possibility of Sauve, Ellington and Rahimi developing inton NHL calibre defenders. Unless we're in a position to take Hedman (slim to none chance), I hope we take a forward.
What I've been wanting us to take forever is a young power forward. Our system needs a young, big guy who hits, fights and scores goals.
It's still early in the season, and I haven't seen a great deal on this draft class, but as it stands right now, Kassian is on my watch list.
