We just have to draft this guy in a few years. He hasn't played any games in the Finnish leagues, but he scored 8 goals against Blues goaltender Jere Myllyniemi in a charity event involving Blues alumni and younger siblings of Blues players. A couple friends visiting family in Espoo were able to catch the event, and they (Canuck fans), just raved about this guy. In a friendly match involving Viktor Koskinen, he just went around the defense so easily and took out the goaltender several times with some great moves. The guys have footage, so we're hoping to get it on YouTube soon. They told me this guy can skate like the wind, he can deke, and his wrist shot can kill. Apparently, they were able to ask Mikko some questions after the event and he told them his brother is 15 years old and will be eligible to enter the SM-liiga next year. He's going to be making some headlines next year, and he'll be eligible for the NHL Entry Draft of 2011. Let's just hope no one else gets their hands on him first.

That's Viktor in a Blues uni for the charity event. The Blues website summarizes the event.

It's too early to be talking too in depth about THIS year's draft, but what the hell. Let's trade for the first overall draft pick in 2011.

Something to look at in about 3 years time. Until then (unless I get hired by the Canucks European scouting team), I'm not going to worry too much.

Let's not worry too much about this guy. He's like 5. Anywho, I suggest all of you enjoy your diet Coke and let the good times rip.

WOW! I AM STILL SHAKING SORT OF. I was at Urban Fare shopping with a friend who lives downtown. We were looking at the nice store and then near the bakery section I saw some tall guy who looked like an East Indian wearing a cap. I distanced myself from him at first. I saw him again and I looked at his face and it looked just like LUONGO!!!! I told my friend but he is not a big hockey fan but he agreed that it is Luongo. I was shaking and I had butterflies in my stomach! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! LUONGO WAS IN THE SAME STORE AS ME. It was him to because one of the workers at Urban Fare asked him how are you and then he said good and then he asked the worker how she was. I didn't know what to do. My friend said dont ask for an auto cause the guy is shopping and it would be kinda rude so I didnt even though I wanted to. I STILL CANT BELIEVE IT! I SAW HIM AND HE IS TALL. I WANTED TO TALK TO HIM AND GET A PIC BUT WE COULDNT FIND HIM AFTER. I wanted to follow him from a distance but my friend said no cause he is a prick who is not a big hockey fan. What an amazing experience still. I don't think i'm gonna forget this anytime soon. Hopefully I see him again somewhere and get his auto and maybe a pic.

...What does that even mean?

And why have you said the same thing multiple times? it doesn't make any sense for any of the threads you've posted it in.

Okay, I just watched the video and I have to say he really reminds me of Pavel Bure. The way he bolts down the ice, it's just unheard of. Looks like a really, REALLY quick skater. As soon as he got near the net, he pulled off some wicked moves, even better than how the guys described it. On one of the goals, he picked up the puck in the defensive zone and went coast-to-coast. Skated around one of the defenseman, pushed the puck past the other defender, got the puck again and gave himself a clear breakaway. Deked out the goalie and scored.

This guy looks really good, and he's already looking like he could light it up in the NHL.

I look pretty awesome in charity games too.
scored 7 goals in an adult league game last week.
... AND I'm a D-man playing forward just for fun, can I be drafted too please?

yeah maybe he's good, but hold off on the parade talk, he hasn't faced worth competition yet to show NHL skill level.
So yeah, my name is Michael and I'm a 27 year old realtor that lives in New Westminster.
Nice to meet you.

Perhaps he is assuming everyone is diabetic... so we should thank him for being worried about our sugar intake... or maybe he's just a douchebag and has his own little insults that only he gets... in that case we should not thank him, nor even acknowledge his existence

If he's better than Mikko, take him! Mikko went 31st overall this morning.
