How retarded is this board?

Even if McDonald fries are made from yams, who the hell ever said that fries have to be made from potatoes?

It is not specified what-so-ever.

When the hell do you ever see a guy ordering say "Could I get Yam Fries"...WTF?!#>!@#>!>@#!@

KFC on the other hand: Kentucky Fried Chicken.

It's Chicken.

It's specified, it's clear, and it in their freakin' company name.

If they don't serve Chicken then why the hell would they be called Kentucky Fried Chicken?

That's like saying you go to a store called "We sell shoes", but it's really a toilet paper factory...

<_<

Well you must only eat at fast food establishments because many resturants (eg Catus Club) have Yam Fries
And yes most people believe that mcdonalds fries are in fact potatoe when they are not, I tell someone "there yam fries" they look at me like WTF
<_<

Here, I have a question for you: Have you seen any KFC commercials or KFC restaurants ever advertise themselves as Kentucky Fried Chicken? Because of the mutated chickens they use I was told they were forced by a lawsuit to not advertise themselves as Kentucky Fried Chicken, rather KFC.

Thanks R.Luongo. for the sig!=)

Now thats a quality restaurant, tastes amazing. Cant wait I'm going to FLA, gonna sink my teeth into one of those chicken burgers within hours of getting off the plane!

Do you guys not have Chick-Fil-A there? If you don't that is horrible. That place makes KFC taste like roadkill in a bucket.

At my High School graduation they gave us coupons for Free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, it was the highlight of the whole ceremony.

It's bunnies.

Seriously how freakin' stupid can people be?

It's called Kentucky Fried CHICKEN for a reason.

Actually they had to legally change their name from Kentucky Fried Chicken to just KFC.. because the final product was a mutant lol

That being said, i love KFC

But i hate dark meat, so it's just breasts and hot wings for me

It would cost more to use fake chicken that has all the bones of regular chicken and mimics the texture and structure of real chicken... honestly sometimes i question peoples sanity.

I worked at KFC for nearly a year before university, its all real chicken from local farms, the strips are real white meat that has been marinated, same with the popcorn chicken.

I want to know how someone could possibly think it was something else. Seriously, what the hell would it be if it's not chicken?

Also, Popeye's >>>>>>>>> KFC >> Churches (much more greasy than any other fast food chicken).

Chik-fil-a is great, but only their sandwiches. Their fried chicken is only average.

considering they are chopped up and loaded with filler, i would not be surprised, but I never worked at McDonalds and wouldn't know. Also, the McNuggets do not resemble the texture of chicken (the muscle fibers should break apart so you can see the fibers, mcnuggets do not do this, all KFC items do.

When I was on the island two weeks ago we raised meat birds. Well, I mean, they had been raised and we caught them and took them to slaughter. These were a specific type of chicken that is selectively bred for their size, and to mature faster so as to not take as much time for the farmer.
These things were eight weeks old and about twice, if not three times the size of regular laying hens. Some of them came back from slaughter as $45 birds. 30 lbs and more. They were practically turkeys.
They also tasted amazing.

When I got back home everyone asked me if it had bothered me that I met my food before I ate it. Why would it? I'm at peace with the fact that my food was once alive. It made me MORE comfortable than eating chickens purchased at the grocery store because I knew where they had been raised, what they had been fed, and how they were taken care of.

Did I feel guilty about catching them and taking them to be killed, plucked, bleached and sent back to us as dinner? Not in the slightest.

Especially considering that due to selective breeding these animals are extremely large for their age, and because of that some of them break their legs by 6 or 7 weeks. They're also dumb as rocks. survival of the fittest doesn't apply to selective crop chickens.
The bottom line is that I would much rather eat these than any others, but genetically modifying them is just another way of selectively breeding. It's just faster for companies in todays GO GO GO society.

KFC isn't nearly as bad as Churches in terms of greasiness. If you chicken is overly greasy that means their friers were not hot enough while cooking.

Do they have Popeyes up there in BC yet? I remember seeing one in Toronto. The chicken is better than KFC and Church's.

It is deep fried. What do you expect?

It is also not being allowed to drain properly after cooking.

Considering that chicken is pretty much the cheapest protein wad you can buy, why the hell would anybody replace it with something more expensive and more difficult to obtain, and potentially open themselves up to a ton of lawsuits?

Don't take this the wrong way, but damn, you kids are gullible.
