A thread to track down former Canuck prospects.

I'll start off.

Wheres Josef Balej?
He was with the Moose last season, did he leave for Czech?

He was very promising, especially before the awful injury.

It was a stick in the midsection.

However, shortly after his return to Manitoba he suffered a gruesome injury when he crashed into the boards and harpooned himself in the midsection with his stick. The blow crushed his kidney and caused severe internal bleeding, and was initially feared to be career-threatening.

I knew it was sorta in that area. Still trying to imagine that injury is terrible since it sounds so gruesome.

OMG SUNDIN.

The word fear is not in our dictionary, it is in the eyes of the enemy.

The objective of war is not to die for your country, it is to make the enemy die for theirs.

One generation plants the trees, the other gets the shade.

On July 23, 2007, Schultz was traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the Atlanta Thrashers for Jim Sharrow. He would not play a game with the Thrashers in 2007-08 season, instead playing with affiliate the Chicago Wolves where he would help win the Calder Cup.

On July 6th, 2008, Schultz signed with the Minnesota Wild to a one-year contract and was later assigned to affiliate the Houston Aeros.

According to Wiki.

Again, from Wiki:

Quote

On July 4, 2008, Fedorov signed an NHL contract with the New Jersey Devils. Fedorov did not make the Devils' NHL roster; after choosing not to report to AHL affiliate Lowell, he was released by the team.

On October 22, 2008, Fedorov signed with Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik of the newly formed Russian Kontinental Hockey League.

Brandon Reid

Quote

After a solid season in Switzerland, Reid and the Canucks patched up their differences and agreed to a new one-year contract for the 2006–07 season. However, Reid would again find himself in Manitoba where he struggled with just 32 points in 53 games, and was held pointless in a three-game callup to Vancouver. Called up for the team's final playoff game, he contributed a key assist on a goal by Alex Burrows.

At the conclusion of the 2006–07 season, Reid became an unrestricted free agent, and signed with the DEG Metro Stars of the DEL.
