Joesefson would be a good, safe pick. If worse comes to worse he would be a good checking line player.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

that list is BS. Landon Ferraro isn't coming anywhere close to the top 15.

I was very impressed with Rundblad, he too has moved up in my rankings. I am definately of the opinion that we should draft a d-man in the first round. Preference to Depres if he falls that far, but I think Rundblad could possibly still be there at 20.

Why? I have not seen him play, but looking at his stats he does not seem overly impressive. He looks to be a do-it-all-dman, which is not what we need. We need a puck-moving, Pp Quarterback type of dman. Is He that? I do not know.

Depres has been compared to the highly offensive Alex Pietrangelo 4th overall last year, who on team Canada at this years world juniors was a PP specialist. It has been said the Depres poses all the skills to PP a Qb, and he skates better than Pietrangelo (who is a good skater).
Depres is around 6'3" 220 and is on the same club as Yann Sauve creating some future cohesion on the blue line. Haven't watched him play though, and although I was really impressed with Rundblad at the WJHC - he seemed to shy away from hits from oncoming fore checkers, whereas Depres seems to have the size and strength to take the hit and also the skating ability to make plays.
Just my opinion from scouting reports and such.

Yes, I think we NEED a d-man in the system.
My 5 guys were
Depres
Rundblad
Kassian
Holland
Glennie
I think if depres and rundblad are gone when the canucks pick, Ellis and Kulikov might still be there. If those 4 guys arent there when we are picking I say take the BPA which will probably be a forward Tyson Barrie scares me and so does Stefan Elliot.

I think whoever holds the 2nd pick (or even 1st) wouldn't be willing to trade it, so Hedman is out of the picture. But Cowen would be a fantastic pick if we could trade up to the 3-6 spots. If not, I think Elliot would be our best bet. If he is gone, then I think a forward would be better to take like Holland or Ferraro. This assuming our pick will be 18-25. If we pick high enough, I wouldn't mind picking Kulikov or even Ellis.

thing that worries me about klingberg is how willing he is to hit. size and speed is great to have but if he doesn't use it, its pretty useless. very interested to see how the u-18 goes for him.
sweds i wouldn't mind taking in the 4th,5th,6th or 7th rd are
Henrik Thegel- Thegel knows how to score goals. He is offensively skilled with good technical skills and decent hockey sense. A dangerous player in the offensive zone, but there is room for improvement in his play without the puck. Also, his skating is average. 39 pts in 23 games in sel u-20 and 4 pts in 6 games in SEL
Anton Rödin-Rödin is a very skilled player. His offensive game stands out thanks to his superb skating, his shot, hockey sense and puck handling. Usually scores quite spectacular goals and does not shy away from playing physical. Could use some more strength though. 18 goals in 23 games in sel u-20

heres a bit of his story, he'll be working his way up the rankings fast imo.
uring a game on October 3 against Peterborough, he suddenly got a massive headache and started vomiting. He was rushed to the hospital, where they discovered a serious form of cerebral hemorrhage.
He has gone through 2 operations and Dr Russo at Trillium Health Care says that the chances are big for him to make a full recovery and play hockey again. He also says that Wallén hopefully will leave the hospital soon.
Here is one happy to hear he survived and I'm hoping now he can be back on the ice soon!
BTW the cerebral hemorrhage didn't occur because of hockey related stuff (a hit, too much working out etc), it was genetical.
and
January 16, 2009 11:39 PM - Watching William Wallen skating around the Hershey Centre tonight was nothing short of miraculous, to say the least.
He had come full circle in a mere three months, fully recovered from a brain aneurysm and back in uniform for the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, making a huge contribution in trying to help his team win.
“I expected to be back by now,” said Wallen, holding an ice pack to his lower lip after getting eight stitches to close a gash he suffered near the end of Mississauga’s 5-3 loss to the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action.
“It might be a little sooner than some people expected, but I believe in myself,” continued Wallen, who was Mississauga’s first choice in the Canadian Hockey League import draft last summer.
“I’m not saying other people didn’t believe in me, but I believe nothing is impossible. When I got out of the hospital, I had no balance and I had trouble walking. It’s been a rough three months for me and my family There was a lot of hard work and so many people helped me get back here.”
Wallen was a big part of Mississauga’s hopes when the Majors drafted the Swedish native last summer. His sudden brain aneurysm, suffered just seconds after the team’s home opener on Oct. 3, was frightening for everybody.
The 17-year-old went back home to Sweden not long after being released from hospital here and started a recovery program. He was back in Mississauga in December and started skating with the team but no contact. A little more than a week ago he started taking part in full scrimmages and there he was tonight, wearing #18, playing on a line with Rob Flick and Ryan Lopes and also playing the point on the power play.
“I never thought that I wouldn’t play again,” he said after the game.
When he scored with less than two minutes remaining in the third period, taking a pass from Jesse Messier and rifling a high wrist shot past Oshawa goaltender Michael Zador, it gave the Majors a chance to come back and perhaps pull off a win.
“It’s always nice to score and my thought was that I hope it got us back in the game,” Wallen remarked.
The game didn’t have the ending Wallen and the Majors wanted, extending Mississauga’s losing streak to four and dropping the team’s record to 22-19-1-1.
In addition to his goal, Wallen drew an assist on Kale Kerbashian’s goal at the midway point of the second period that tied the game 2-2.
Cameron Gaunce had the other goal for the Majors, who face the Ottawa 67’s Sunday afternoon at the Hershey Centre.
The Majors had plenty of chances but ran into a stubborn goaltender in Zador, who was dealt to the Generals as part of the blockbuster deal that sent John Tavares and defenceman Michael DelZotto to the London Knights last week.
Zador made 37 saves on the night. Mississauga goalie JP Anderson faced 37 shots.
yes he's small but he may grow a bit and he's got a ton of skill and is in canada already
