Brad Marchand
This Canadian 15 year old Felix Auger Aliassime is making headlines. Sounds like he has a bright future. Will be great for Canadian tennis Some phenomenal matches at US Open so far. Can't wait for Venus vs Serena! It will be almost impossible for the match to live up to the tremendous hype, but I hope it somehow does.

oldnews
It was so sweet watching Roberta knock off Serena that I had to go back and watch that 3rd set again. Vinci is not getting enough credit for that victory. She was all over Serena - she read her serve like clockwork and was moving with the toss - she anticipated extremely well - seemed to know exactly what Wiliams was going to do before virtually shot - and her first few steps are extremely quick. She handled Williams' heavy serves exceptionally well - dumped them deep down the middle and essentially reset the points, managing to dictate a shocking percentage of their rallies. She also had enough variation in her strategy that Williams was out of sorts, with no rhythm or momentum at all in the 2nd and 3rd sets. She did exactly what she needed to in order to exploit Williams' weaknesses and mobility. Serena did not simply play poorly - Vinci dictated the way that match evolved and deserves full credit. She is the type of player Williams has difficulty with and played a very intelligent match imo.

RUPERTKBD
Count me among those who loved seeing Serena lose. Great way for Pennetta to close out her career.
-Vintage Canuck-
Ouch, that was a nasty fall for Djokovic. Bleeding too. It will be interesting how that will impact with the rest of his play.
-DLC-
He didn't even flinch...hats off to him for taking it all in stride. He could have embellished it, but just basically ignored it to play on. Well done.
-Vintage Canuck-
Nooo, Federer! What a match, though. Very intense. Well deserved victory for Djokovic, who did well after getting hurt earlier.
-DLC-
Aw too bad....that easily could have gone either way. Really was pulling for Roger, but a hard fought battle and well deserved win.
hockeyville88
NOLE!!! The U.S. Open crowd should be ashamed of themselves for the way they jeered Djokovic. The guy is a great champion and ambassador of the game.
