hockeyville88
The men's final of Sony Open (Miami) is looking pretty dull. Rafa and Roger didn't enter this tourney, and Djokovic was upset in the 4th round. So the final will be Ferrer vs Murray...yawn... But Serena won the women's final today against Sharapova. Lost the first set but then stormed back to win the next 2. It was amazing tennis. Won the final set 6-0 against the world #2. She is so dominant when she's on her game. topbananas
scrappy match.....but a win is a win is a win......congratulations Andy, world number 2, Scotland is very very proud of you
hockeyville88
Wow what an ending. Ferrer stopped the play at Championship point to challenge, and Murray's shot fell in by just a few cm's. That was as close as Ferrer would get. Andy dominated the tiebreak and won the match. Felt real bad for Ferrer. In any other era he'd be world #1 and he'd have won at least a few slams. Just his luck that his time in tennis has coincided with the big 4. Good for Murray though. Back up to world #2
wizeman
Was a great win by Murray . Glad to see hes back on his game !!!! And you are right. Ferrer is the little engine that could, but has to hope the other 4 get upset or injured to win a slam.
Bodee
Brilliant Andy! Great result. No 2 again. Few people realise how hard it is for a player born and raised in such a cold climate as Scotland to triumph against players like Ferrer, Nadal etc in 40 degrees of heat and humidity. We don't even get the weather they get in the South of England. Luckily Andy spent some time in Spain as a youth and tried to acclimatise to the kind of temperatures which dominate the big tennis events. However it is never going to be the same for a Scot and it speaks volumes for the boy's tenacity that he continues to win in such gruelling conditions. It has killed off our fine soccer teams in the past trying to play in World cups in the searing heat but Andy has taken every opportunity he could to prepare himself for a career in top tennis. The man is a phenomenon.

van_ws
That was just a classic. An absolute masterpiece of a game. Some of the best doubles tennis you will ever see at this level. Nestor and Pospisil played brilliant. Hopefully Raonic can put us through to the semi-finals but there is still much work to be done. Wilbur
Phew, I was nervous for a little while there. Was seriously thinking that the Italians didn't start playing until they were 2 sets down. Serbia will be tough, but it'll be fun to see how they do.
drdeath
Way to go Milos and way to go team canada. Shame the tie is in Serbia because it would be awesome to see Djoker at UBC.
Where's Wellwood
Playing Djokavic in the semis is scary. Milos has to step his game up and here's hoping Djokavic has a few bad days.
hockeyville88
Congrats Canada!!! Top 4 in the world! That is a huge accomplishment I truly believe that Dancevic, Raonic, and Pospisil will gain a lot of confidence in themselves through their respective performances at the recent Davis Cup matches against France, Spain, and now Italy. Raonic sealed this one, but the doubles match from yesterday will be what everyone talks about. That was a great win. Well deserved for a guy like Daniel Nestor who has been so loyal and answered the bell for Canada so many times. Sounds like it was a great atmosphere at the matches. Great for the players to know how much we care about what they're doing! Serbia will be a huge test and Canada is definitely an underdog, but we can still give it all we got
