And Federer beats Djokovic in 4: 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. He played amazing. And in the 3rd set, Djokovic had a break point at 4-4, and missed a return long. Then missed a smash, and Fed went on to break him for the set. After that Federer just dominated the 4th set. Very excited to watch the final on Sunday.

Damn it :(

I was pulling for Novak as I always do. I feel like people still see men's tennis as being Rog vs Rafa. They don't see Novak as being elite. I love his attitude and I think he deserves a few more slams.

But a likely 17th for Roger is phenomenal. What a legend.

And a great day for Canadian tennis as Filip Peliwo is into the boys final and Eugenie Bouchard is into the girls final at Wimbledon. Radawanska won the girls final in 05(?) I believe and now she's into the women's final vs Serena. Would be great to have more Canadians make that leap and be in contention in the future.

Ugh brutal. My two favourite - Tsonga and Djokovic - out.

I hate Andy Murray but it is cool to see how much support he's getting from the locals.

Congratulations to Serena! Wow amazing comeback from where she had dropped to a few years ago. Love the power in her game.

And also congrats to Eugenie Bouchard - the 18 year old from Quebec won the Wimby girls title!

It looked like Fed was starting to take control on the 3rd set. Either he comes out playing better, or is flat. Anyways great match, Murray played really great in the 1st and almost all of the 2nd.

haha, I have no beef with Scots per se, only Andy Murray, Alex Salmond and whoever made that ridiculous statue of Mel Gibson. The three can burn in hell while the rest of you dance around in your skirts and toss each others cabers

And Fed takes the 3rd set 6-3. One set away from history! He had to break in a nearly 20 minute game.

Gutted Murray didn't win, but Federer played a good game.

Still, it's great for British sports, we seem to be doing alright at the moment.

Federer played brilliant tennis today. He deserved the win and the #1 ranking.

This only adds to his resume of one of the all-time greats. Legend.

Id agree with you...but as Murray doesn't consider himself British, only Scottish, I'm glad that a deserving champion was crowned.

Best Federer has played in years. It was a really exciting match I loved how federers forehand looked after they closed the roof. amazing game by both players and congratulations federer for retaining what is rightfully yours, the worlds #1 in tennis.

p.s seriously Djokovic can slow serve in hell, watching that guy bounce the ball a hundred times before each serve just infuriates me. -.-

Congrats to the Fed. I would have been nice to finally see a British dude win the British title, but it was not to be. Congrats to the best tennis player of all time. He proved it again today.
