Been watching like 4-6 Aussie Open matches a day
I need a job lol

But great action
Stosur's collapse was shocking but not surprising...does that make sense?
Raonic rolling along nicely
Great to see Djokovic and Serena playing so well, especially Serena after her injury scare.
Also very impressed with the younger players on tour. Madison Keys was very impressive.

Milos up 2 sets to none. Although he's winning atm, he has a lot of unforce errors. Certainly not going to make it far in the tournament if he keeps that up, especially when Federer is probably going to be his next opponent.

Totally forgot the match was on, tune in and see a 4-ace game from Milos. That's insane.

I don't know how you call 12-10 in the fifth a close call...he's pretty lucky he was able to win the match IMO.

This should be good for Milos' confidence saving 3 break points early.

Wish it hadn't been a straight sets victory. But 2 of the 3 sets were very close so that's encouraging. Good for Milos to make it to R4.

On the women's side, Serena demolished Mrs.Alex Ovechkin (Maria Kirilenko) in under an hour. It was impressive.

Not really.....

Milos barely won any points on Federer's services game. I think he only won 5 points in those 2 sets.

^ small steps I guess lol

Fed vs Tsonga should be a dandy tonight. Same with Serena vs Sloane Stephens. Seems like Stephens idolizes Serena and has modeled her game after her so it'll be interesting to see them go head to head.

And for Davis Cup in Vancouver:
Nicolas Almagro, Marcel Granollers, and Marc Lopez are in. Rafa, Ferrer, and Verdasco are out.

Serena :(

Even with the injury, she could have taken this match. She proved once again that she is her own worst enemy.

Stephens played amazing though. Handled every power shot Serena threw at her. Pretty amazing what these 18 and 19 year olds are doing out there.

Tsonga is serving really well , but roger seems to have his measure , just ,he is up 2 sets to 1 .

The jokers match against wawrinka was one of the best matches i have witnessed at the Aus open.

^ Tsonga played well. If anyone outside the big 4 can beat Fed I think it'll be Tsonga because he pulls Fed out of his comfort zone. I really want him to win a major in his career. He's such a fabulous player to watch. Like a harlem globetrotter of tennis with all his drop shots and net front play!

He did play well , but roger still seems to find that extra gear when he needs it .
Was really impresssed by both players at the end of the match , true gentlemen.

I believe Tsonga will win a slam , sooner than later.

Vicky Azarenka, like Joker-Bic, is a coward. She pulled a medical TO on Stephens and iced her. She is turning women's tennis into even more of the circus show it already is.

Yeah Roger is impressive, especially after not having played any tune ups in the lead up to Aussie.
JWT is well respected by his peers. His demeanour makes him a crowd favourite too

And the funny thing is she didn't even try to hide it in her post match interview. She basically said "oh i was overwhelmed by the moment so i took a break." Stephens was having issues holding serve anyways so it was a long shot for her to win the match, but a pretty lame move nonetheless. Wouldn't accuse Djok of the same move though. He hasn't pulled the injury timeout move in a long time, even during some epic matches.

Great run for Stephens. She's gained a wealth of knowledge.

This has cuased quite a bit of contraversy over here .
In the first interview she said she felt overwhelmed , and then in later interviews she changes her story , and did not look convincing in her explanation .

Federer , Murray 2 sets all , roger looked gone 10 minutes ago , andy was serving for the match 30-15, this is turning into a classic

Another hoodoo abolished by Murray in yet another classic top 4 battle.

I just hope Andy has enough in the tank. That was over 4hours of attrition (up to the 5th set) and it must have taken a lot out of Andy.

I'm not keen on staggered matches when it approaches the final, it doesn't seem fair, especially when your opponent who is getting the rest is Novak.

Never seen Roger lose his cool like that. Amazing how Murray really one upped him in strategy and execution. Wonder if he'll tweak his schedule a bit so that he can maybe play a tune up match or two in the lead up to the next Majors

Djokovic has just looked so calm and cool out there. He looks to be in a zone that is even better than the one he was in when he won 3/4 majors in 2011. Will be a great final for sure.

Totally agree , apart from wawrinka , the joker has been in cruise mode ,and he has looked like the man to beat through the tournament , i think he has a better mental game than Murray and i believe he will make it three in a row , something that has not been done in the modern open era .

Did Novak not have a real melt down the last time he played Murray and totally destroyed his racket?

Ivan Lendl has helped Murray take his game to the next level , especially mentally , but you can still see the signs of petulance , and doubt in his game and personality , the joker IS stronger mentally and i believe that this will be the case on sunday night , i think it will be a great match.

Djoker is stronger mentally because he trusts himself more IMO

Reports now suggest that Almagro is also out of the Davis Cup match due to injury. Bummer. Spain produces some of the world's best tennis players and we don't get to see any of them :( But good for Team Canada. This gives them a decided edge

At the elite level of competition , this is the deciding factor , that level of self belief and confidence that you are the best.

Ladies has just started , games on serve ,2-1 first set .

^ yup, totally agree.

Ugh was totally pulling for Li Na in this one, especially after the crap Vika pulled in the semi final. The crowd was pro-Li Na too. They really were backing her. And she played fantastic. If she can keep it up she'll be a legit threat up there at the top again.
