Some scouts are saying he's good positionally in the neutral zone to force turnovers/strip the puck. Apparently tires himself out as he doesn't follow the system enough.
Could possibly benefit from more conditioning if he tires out too quickly on a long shift.
Glennie looks likie a solid pick as well. Leading his team in PP and PK time.

From the game I watched he had a couple nice shots, but now that I have read up on it, people say it's weak but accurate. So that is my bad. thanks for correcting me though.

luongo win tracker- 28 down 22 to go imo lu will be the 1st goalie to 50 wins

RISING
Kyle Palmieri - The best US forward at recent 5-Nation tournament, Palmieri is an explosive skater who can beat defensemen in the blink of an eye. He needs very little space to fly away from his opponents – has that extra gear that pulls him away. A fun player to watch skate with the puck, Palmieri is capable of great feeds in the
offensive end as well.
Mattias Lindstrom - Lindstrom is ″a huge truck on wheels’’ and is impossible to stop once he gets going. Screens the goaltender on the power play – scores
important goals from the top of the crease area. Lindstrom has good speed and hockey sense and should be regarded as a strong NHL draft pick for his
size and offensive skills. Reminds ISS scouts of Tomas Holmstrom.
Drew Shore - Shore is an extremely agile player with explosive lateral movement. He never quits skating. After a pretty quiet first game at 5-Nations, Shore
became one of the best players on any team as the tournament progressed and was a major reason the US squad was able to finish at the top.
Sami Vatanen – Had probably the best overall performance of any defenseman at recent 5-Nation '91 tournament. Extremely competitive and great fitness level. Logged about 30 minutes each game.
Simon Bertilsson - Bertilsson has good size and a decent shot and adds good puck movement and distribution skills to a strong skating base to create a
very dynamic package for a defender. He is calm with the puck and often makes strong intelligent decisions. Had a very consistent and strong tournament at recent
5-Nation '91.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson – His shot can be compared to pro-level players. Once he gets going he can skate all the way down to shoot, or make a pass to an open
teammate. Has the ability to throw some crushing hits and impressed ISS scouts with a solid performance during the 5-Nation '91 tournament.
Jakub Jerabek – Impressed ISS scouts with recent strong performance at 5-Nation '90 Turku, Finland. He wasn’t on the ice for a single 5-on-5 goal against
during the tournament, which is a testament to his very strong defensive instincts and coverage abilities.
Edward Pasquale – In our opinion, is head and shoulders above any draft eligible goaltender in the Ontario Hockey League. He plays such a calm game and
does a nice job controlling his rebounds. His feet are very quick and he reads the play very well. Not to mention he looks huge in the net but is also quite agile.
David Weiss - Weiss is a very strong all around player who ISS believes has a ton of potential to develop into a useful and effective player at the next
level. A youngster who already has a plethora of experience playing with men, Weiss would be a pretty safe project for any NHL club and has the necessary
tools to develop into a very strong player.
Tomas Tatar - Tatar has long been known to be a tremendous scorer, but the WJC was his breakout party. Tatar has great hands and a tremendous shot.
His ability to be in the right place at the right time is incredible. No player saw his 2009 draft stock rise higher then Tatar after this tournament.
FALLING
Jeremy Morin -- Morin is a terrific prospect who played a number of games with the NTDP Under-18 team last year as an underage. Gifted offensively, he currently leads team in goals with 20, however he did not get a chance to shine at the recent 5-Nations in Sweden, as he was forced to sit in the stands for USA's
final three games of the event due to an off-ice issue. A player who has the tools to play at the next level, but must make sure that he maintains his focus.
Jared Cowen – The big BUT with Cowen is not whether he will be drafted, it is will he slide with his recent season-ending knee injury. He will be having
reconstructive surgery on his knee. Has Pronger-like skill and with a full recovery, Cowen will make a NHL club very happy if they take a chance on this guy.
Chris Perugini -- Smaller goalie who is very quick. Lack of size does give him problems when traffic is in slot area. His ability to play well consistently will
ultimately determine where he’ll be drafted.
Teemu Eronen - At 5'10 he has size and strength issues, and his decision-making has been dubious at times. Although we still believe that he will
mature into a solid defenseman, we are concerned about his pro upside, and a drop in the rankings is the result.
Adam Hughesman -- As a 16-year-old he put up great numbers, however this season he had a good start but has battled the consistency bug all season and was
recently a healthy scratch. He is a knock-kneed type skater that doesn't have the first three steps to pull away, although he does get there.
Bjorn Krupp -- Good size but doesn't do anything to distinguish himself on the ice. While skating, he has lots of extra movement and wasted energy - hopping
around. Krupp could hear his name called late in the draft, although it’s more than likely teams will pass on him and keep an eye for his development over the
next couple of seasons.

Wow, very interesting to see Drew Shore come out of no where. Haven't read up on him yet but I didn't see him as a top 10 pick.
Great to see Kassian and Glennie possibly in the Canucks range, these guys would be great picks around our spot.
This months rankings have changed A LOT from the ones of previous months, even Morin has fallen a ton.

shore's been all over the place this year i think he was 10-12 range at the start then he struggled for the 1st half of the season and tourney's (had an awful junior a worlds i think it was)and dropped to around the 30-40 range but recently he was the usa's top player at the 5 nations u-18 and that seems to have shot him back up the rankings. he's had a very inconsistant year.
he's a big guy(6"2 190) who skates really well and goes to the net without fear and every chance he gets, at the start of the year he was compared by scouts as a better skating ryan smyth. he plays hard and loves the game. knock on him is people aren't sure how skilled he is because he get a lot of garbage type goals. i think he'll be an nhl player i'm just not sold on him being a top 6 guy.

I am interested to know who each of the top 30 draft eligible prospects would be compared to a current NHLer.
Hedman has been called the Swedish Pronger.
Glennie I compare to a Jeff Carter.
Kassian a prototypical Bertuzzi "esque" player.
OEL has drawn Lidstrom type comparrisons of late.
I have heard Leblanc also compared to Simon Gagne.
Specific comparisons I would like to hear are: Duchesne, Palmieri, Josefson, Shore, Morin, Werek, and Moore.
From reading about Palmieri I tend to relate him to fellow american Zach Parise. Am I far off here?
Im guessing Chickenman has the best scouting report out there at the moment. If you are bored why not give me a list of comparisons.

Mckeen's on Duchene
Similar to Afinogenov in terms of stickhandling, could end up similar to Kris Draper as a shut down forward with a lot of offense. Also compared to Hodgson with more raw talent, but less hockey sense.
Josefson - Marc Savard
Shore - Milan Michalek
Morin - hands similar to Tim Connolly
Werek - wants to emulate Big Joe

I dont think many teams are scared of drafting Moore, most scouts have him as a 1st rounder easily. I think its too hard to order the d-man in the 1st round, especially those of the 2nd tier. Out of Moore, Elliott, Rundblad, De Haan, and Olsen (OEL has moved up to 1st tier), you cant really go wrong. I would be happy with any of those guys. However, this draft is deep, and out of those 5 I think only 2 will slip into the 2nd round - De Haan and Olsen - NOT for talent, but for need. Especially when you think the bottom 4 picks probably belong to Detroit, SJ, Boston, and Washington, Washington drafted Carlsson in the 1st last year. Detroit probably grabs Swedish forward Johansson, as they already have a number of good defensive prospects. SJ's pick now belongs to NYI, so depending on whether they finish last or not, they could be inline to grab a d-man, but you never know with the Isles, they have been known to make weird picks ie. Bailey over Hodgson (THANK YOU GARTH SNOW!)
Interesting. From what I have seen of Duchesne, his speed and body type remind me of a less talented crosby.
Werek has started to intrigue me a lot lately. Would love to get him, not with a 1st though.
