2. Bubinick, Tartar & Barrie (in no order)
3. Am I really the only one to vote for leadership so far? Also character and hockey sense.

Skating --- if you can skate and keep the puck your heads above raymond, if your endurance keeps you going then you will draw penalties which again is perfect in the new nhl
Character--- we don't need sean avery's we need linden's
"Because you are a character doesn't mean you have character" Mr.Wolff, pulp fiction....

I chose the same, although for me, I'd say skating and offensive ability are almost the same. You can teach defense. You can't teach the killer instinct that goal scorers have.

1st rd
Carter Ashton- not picked because i dout he's there, wouldn't mind him though but D is our main need
Calvin De Haan - speed, skill, smarts, poise, character and a very good D, just needs to put a bit of weight on and he'll be a very good top 2 D
Dimitri Kulikov - little shy to take a russian still, i know he's over here but russian never really fit into teams well
Jeremy Morin - dout he's there, tons of offense and fire in his belly i think someone will take a shot on him before 21
Drew Shore - don't mind him but he has been fairly inconsistent this year and i see him as a bit of a project
Richard Panik - wouldn't mind him size, speed and skill but imo played better as a 16 year old then as a 17 year old
David Rundblad - love his size, shot, speed and skill for sure, i think he'll go top 20 so i don't have my hope up, potential mike green imo
Landon Ferraro - another guy i don't mind, i think he'll be a good play but i want a great player here. D is our #1 need to
Stefan Elliot - was very close to picking him but you can only pick 3 and i like de haan, rundblad and OEL just a bit better
Tim Erixon - not sure he's top 21, top 30 for sure but 21 is a bit high imo
Karl Klingberg - really not sold on him in the 1st, yes he's big and can skate but so are a lot of guys
Dylan Olsen - i think there is a lot of upside i'm just not sure how long it will take for him to develop, another close pick but i really like the other 3 better
Louis Leblanc - i think there a lot of talent there but another guy who's 3-4 years away(mainly because i see him going to college that long). would be fine with picking him though, imo a top 6 winger one day in the mold of gagne
Toni Rajala - still not sold on his size to take him this high
Oliver-Ekman-Larson - lots of people say he plays like lidstrom, enough said, another kid that needs to fill out
Peter Holland - won't make it to 21 imo, big skilled centre don't fall that low
Jordan Caron - injury concerns
Ethan Werek - love the way he plays and he reminds me a lot of kesler but i like the other guy a tad better
John Moore - don't know what it is but i have this funny feeling he's a flop
2nd Round Pick, 51st Overall (Choose 3)
Tommi Kivisto - has all the physical tools but lacks hockey sense
Tyson Barrie - too small and lacks D
Kellan Tochkin - really like the kid and would love to see him in a canucks jersey but i think 2nd is a bit early but given the choices i'll pick him
Erik Haula - high school kid scare me a bit, would be fine with taking a shot on him though
Jimmy Bubinick - bad skating
Charles Roussel - i'd be ok taking him but i like the other 3 better
Anton Lander - thought about picking him but liked the other 3 better
Steven Anthony - very inconsistent
Taylor Beck - will be a very solid nhler i just like the other 3 a tad better
Brandon Kozun - wait til the 4th rd imo, hell if we used our 7th last year we wouldn't be having this conversation
Anton Mylarri - skating concerns and imo a 3rd rounder
Scott Stacjer - best goalie in the draft imo, would be a steal in the 2nd
Thomas Vincour - has the tools to be good but lacks the will, i'd stay far away from this kid
Seth Hegelson - skating concerns with him
Thomas Tatar - i think he'll go before 51, wouldn't mind seeing him in a canucks jersey
Ryan Howse - good speed, and is a goal scorer for sure, I like the other better though
Joonas Naatinen - i'd be fine with him, i'm not sure how good he'll be though
Chris Kreider - with all that raw size, speed and skill somebody will take him top 40
Jacob Joesefson - really dout he's there at 51, if he is no way we pass on him
Ryan O'Reilly- like him but he to has skating concerns for me
What do you think are the most important qualities in a prospect?
i picked
Skating Ability- gotta be able to skate in today's nhl, if you can't you are way to easy to shut down
Hockey Sense- hockey sense leads to offense/defense
Character- guys with good character are naturally good leaders imo

I left off Kulikov because I think he would be gone. I chose Ekman-Larsson, DeHaan, and Rundblad. Elliot just misses out on being here.
2nd round
If Josefson is still there at 51, there are a lot of stupid gm's out there, I took him anyways. I chose Charles-Olivier Roussel, budding power forward Taylor Beck, and Josefson. Assuming Josefson and Kreider are gone which they will be, Ryan O'reilly would be a solid pick at 51.
Important qualities I chose are: Character, Hockey sense and Composure. I know skating ability is important, but we drafted Hodgson who skating was his major flaw. I would rather someone who can hold on to the puck, than someone who can skate like Raymond yet lacks composure.

Landon Ferraro
I cant decide between David Rundblad or Taylor Doherty...
Jacob Joesefson
Thomas Tatar
Thomas Vincour
Size - doesn't really matter, but I would like a nice "tower" on the backend.
Clutch
Hockey Sense

3 Each this time as opposed to 5.
If you think that someone else should be on the list, do say so.
Brayden McNabb needs to be on the list for the second round I think.
He has super-steal potential!
Welcome Jordan Schroeder!

OEL
Holland
in no order put I doubt Holland and kulikov will slip so far.
Beck
Josefson
O'Reilly
in no order but josefson will definatly not drop this far.
Skating Ability
Offense Ability
Hockey Sense
Because these things can't be taught very well.
(Honourable mentions to size and leadership)

Tyson Barrie - Size scares me, but has good offensive upside
Kellan Tochkin - He and Brayden McNabb are my targets in the 3rd round, I cant take either of these guys in the 2nd
Erik Haula - Another talented Shattuck kid, he'll be good, but I would wait until the 3rd
Jimmy Bubinick - Good scorer, not the greatest skater
Charles Roussel - Likes to throw his weight around, good solid dman. This guy should be high on the list.
Anton Lander - Dont know much, projecting him in the 3rd
Steven Anthony - nah
Taylor Beck - this guy has good assets, I like him ALOT
Brandon Kozun - 4th rounder
Anton Mylarri - Big guy,
Scott Stacjer - good goalie, I dont think he will be the only goalie to go in round 2
Thomas Vincour - disapears too much
Seth Hegelson - like his size- at 51 I say NO at 61 Yes
Thomas Tatar - Everyone on this board has a hard on for this kid, at 51 I would take him, but not at 41
Ryan Howse - i think he will drop to round 3
Joonas Naatinen - solid 2nd rounder, could even go in round 1
Chris Kreider - he'll be gone by 51 easily, this guy is a first rounder
Jacob Joesefson - see kreider
Ryan O'Reilly- solid pick in the 2nd round
There are some names lacking from the 2nd round list- Leddy, Pasquale, Latta, Hutchings, Chaisson, Dillon, Gelinas, BUDISH.
Im not complaining here, I enjoy these polls immensely, just feel that kreider and josefson should have been in the round 1 poll not round 2, it gives an unequal balance to opinions. I should not have picked Josefson, but I couldnt resist.

Elliot
Kulikov
Morin
Poll #2:
Josefson
Barrie
Tochkin
Poll #3:
this one was hard, because you look for different things depending on what your prospect needs are and who position you are drafting. Hockey sense is important no matter what. But sometimes Offensive ability is most important, or defensive ability if you are looking at defencemen. Character is important too, but sometimes pure skill is higher on the list, ect.
but I said Hockey Sense, Skating Ability and Offensive Ability.
