I wont profess to be an expert, expecially on from the 60-100 range, but we have quite a few similarities, but also a lot of differences. I'll post my top 75 at some point today.

We would likely have to trade up for him. Every scout and GM in the leauge knows what this kid did at the world juniors. No way hes going past 15th.
do you remember what Nolan Baumgartner did at the world juniors?
World Junior success does not make great NHLers!
I'm not writing off his ability and potential, but I really dont think its a stretch to see this guy be an AHL star. At 5'10" you have to be able to skate......he aint Kris Russell!

I don't understand why you or Downunda have to harp on him for this. Chicken does has done this the past few months so it should not be hard to do another. Its just shifting people up and down the list based on how he thinks they are performing currently. I like Chicken, i think he is one of the few people on this board that actually follows prospects and has a fairly solid opinion on them.
On Ellis, i agree with ilikecanucks. He is a high-risk prospect with high offensive capabilities. Yes, he was amazing in the WJC and is in top10 scoring in the ohl, but there has to be some question to whether this can translate to playing with top players in the NHL. He is 5'10 and not very strong/physical. Can he defend against the likes of Getzlaf, Carter, or Iginla? Or would his top potential be a bottom 2 pairing with minimal minutes but almost all of those minutes would be on the PP?
Even if he dropped to Canuck's current position, i think there are better D available in this draft that would fit better with our current D. Think of Rundblad, Despres, Kulikov, OEL, De Haan, Elliot, Moore, or even Erixon. Ellis would be the smallest player on our team and definitely on our D where everyone is over 6'3 minus Bieksa. Pretty much think of Wellwood as our defenseman, as they are the same size. Too much risk, i think for a first round pick especially in this draft.

imo ellis is fairly close to someone like cory murphy in tb, he'll look great on the pp but even strenght we won't want him out there more then 10-12 min a game, just too small for me. he will be a excellent pp guy

luongo win tracker- 3 down 47 to go imo lu will be the 1st goalie to 50 wins

68- MICHAEL LATTA GUELPH - again, this guy should be about ~10-15 spots higher
74- NICK LEDDY EDEN PRAIRIE - this kid is my sleeper, can really skate
15- SCOTT STAJCER OWEN SOUND - imo he's got a great head on his shoulder and that is so important to a goalie, big and athletic too, has good #'s dispite playing on a so/so team, hard worker too. the only goalie in the draft i am 100% confident he will be a starter
17- RYAN ELLIS WINDSOR - he good but small that knocks him to the middle of the 1st, so much skill though
27- ETHAN WEREK KINGSTON - reminds me a lot of kesler, good size, very fast and drives guys nuts by always finishing checks
33- GABRIEL LEMIEUX SHAWINIGAN - real smart player who seems to always make the right play, needs to fill out a bit
35- JOHN MOORE CHICAGO - got this feeling he'll be a flop
38- TAYLOR DOHERTY KINGSTON - great size and an even better skater, not as offensive as myers last year but twice as mean
39- GUILLAUME GOULET BAIE-COMEAU - smaller fast guy with a great shot, imo could be this drafts eberle/ennis, 45 goals this year and nominated for scholastic player of the year
41- BRAYDEN MCNABB KOOTENAY- big strong and a good skater, offensive upside
44- LINDEN VEY MEDICINE HAT - what i see is a kid from a good program who works hard, has a good shot and good speed. the kid is pretty skinny but still out muscles guys for the puck when he grows up look out.
46- BRODIE MELNYCHUK BRANDON - seen him 3 time this year and maybe those were his 3 best games but got a lot of the things i look for in a D, size good skater, gets the puck up ice, finishes his checks, and is a little mean in front of him net. doesn't take dumb penalties either
47- TOMAS TATAR ZVOLEN - size worries me a bit but has speed, and competes hard, looks to be a clutch type guy too
50- DAVID SAVARD MONCTON - another kid tha in solid and good at everything, has great leader ship and is also a real smart kid
51- RYAN O'REILLY ERIE - i'd like to have hima tad higher but his skating worries me
52- KELLAN TOCHKIN EVERETT - home town kid who has skill, works hard and will take on any roll he has to for the good of the team, his size though puts him to get drafted 3rd/4th rd imo. he could turn into a mark rechii/doug weight type guy
53- KYLE PALMIERI USA U-18 -getting booted from your team drops him 30 spots imo
54- DYLAN OLSEN CAMROSE- doesn't stand out to me, and the inteview i heard didn't really blow me away
55- CHARLES-OL ROUSSEL SHAWINIGAN - big strong, skates, hits, good shot, wanted to have him a bit high but like the others a tad better
57- DAVID VALEK USA U-18 - born in utah to czech parents i think, 6"2 good skater who was dominent for the usa in the 5 nations. good kid with size and skil, whats not to like
61- PHILIPPE PARADIS SHAWINIGAN - good kid who works hard, makes the easy smart play
63- TAYLOR BECK GUELPH - big power forward type with good hands decent skater, not sure on his upside but i can see him fitting in on someones 3/4 line
64- JIMMY BUBNICK KAMLOOPS - hard worker who can score but is an awful skater 3/4 liner one day maybe
65- TOMMI KIVISTO RED DEER - don't hate him just don't see the hype in him, he has all the tools to be a good one except he just can't read the play good at all, his size, shot skating and skill are as good as any D though so he could be a steal. think luc bourdon with no hockey sense at all
68- MICHAEL LATTA GUELPH - solid 3/4 line guy could use some work on his skating, might be a 2nd line guy one day if he does that.
74- NICK LEDDY EDEN PRAIRIE - your right the kid is a great skater but thats all i really see in him, avg skill, size and hockey sense

luongo win tracker- 3 down 47 to go imo lu will be the 1st goalie to 50 wins

Some of your guys I like, just not as high as you have them ie, Valek, Vey, Tochkin, Savard, Melnychuk. And I wont pretend to have read or seen anything on other guys.
Valek's performance at the Five Nations looks good too.
Where did you find that Palmieri was booted off his team?
2 guys whose stats jump out at me on the USA U-18 team are Kenny Ryan 2nd on team in goals, none of them are on the power play, and Jerry D'Amico similar stats and size to Palmieri, probably not as fast but bigger body.

the palmieri story was on hockeysfuture a week or 2 ago, no ones saying he got the boot but a few of those kids have been in trouble this year and maybe the coach had enough, maxwell got demoted and couple u-17 guys got suspended and palmieri got kicked out. no one is saying much about the whole thing. usa has no coment on it and palmieri's dad said his son made a couple very bad choices and there trying to move on, he will be going to notre dame next year unless notre dame changes coaches or the nhl team that picks him wants him in the chl.

2 guys whose stats jump out at me on the USA U-18 team are Kenny Ryan 2nd on team in goals, none of them are on the power play, and Jerry D'Amico similar stats and size to Palmieri, probably not as fast but bigger body.
no garrett mitchell? i know he doesn't have a whole lot of talent but the kid works harder then anyone in the draft, is a good skater, will fight, was a solid grinder for the u-18 team and got 4 pts in 4 games there. imo will be a solid 4th line guy

luongo win tracker- 3 down 47 to go imo lu will be the 1st goalie to 50 wins

Yeah, I havent seen enough of Garrett Mitchell to put him my top 3 rounds. 4th rounders can be picked up in later rounds, I am thinking the potential of the other guys is a bit better.
I read through those posts on Hockeysfuture discussing the US NTDP. Very interesting, especially if you are a fan of the OHL (Kitchener and Windsor). Its sounds like the entire program has issues not just the select view with disciplinary issues.
Palmieri still has 1st round talent, and since the reasons arent being aired, I have to believe in the player. Their seems to be a lot of disfunction in the program right now....which may lead to a lot of their talent heading North.
Kenny Ryan's numbers definately have me thinking.

3- EVANDER KANE VANCOUVER - This guy will go after Duchene and Paajarvi-Svensson. I'd rank him 5th.
11- JORDAN SCHROEDER U OF MINNESOTA - He'll go in the top 10, especially after his WJC performance, he'll definitely be picked above Glennie.
14- DMITRY KULIKOV DRUMMONDVILLE - He might drop this low, but remember he's in North America, so he'll probably stay in the top 12.
23- LANDON FERRARO RED DEER - Might get overhyped and picked in the top 20 because of his name/bloodlines. But then again, 23 is already pretty early for him.
34- OLIVIER ROY CAPE BRETON - Late second round.. .905 save percentage...
38- TAYLOR DOHERTY KINGSTON - About right I guess, could see him going in the 40s though.
67- TYSON BARRIE KELOWNA - This guy will go in the 40s, early 50s at the latest. No way he drops down to the third round.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.
