Some players I might disagree with:

3- EVANDER KANE VANCOUVER - This guy will go after Duchene and Paajarvi-Svensson. I'd rank him 5th.
I have him 5th too, but if you are the Lightning I dont think you could say no to a future combo of Stamkos-Kane
11- JORDAN SCHROEDER U OF MINNESOTA - He'll go in the top 10, especially after his WJC performance, he'll definitely be picked above Glennie.
I cant see Kadri going before him either.

14- DMITRY KULIKOV DRUMMONDVILLE - He might drop this low, but remember he's in North America, so he'll probably stay in the top 12.
Should be the 3rd dman drafted

23- LANDON FERRARO RED DEER - Might get overhyped and picked in the top 20 because of his name/bloodlines. But then again, 23 is already pretty early for him.
Yeah I have Landon in a similar spot....but the kid can flat out fly, and can score.....i could see him going ahead of Kassian and Holland based on his goal scoring ability.
34- OLIVIER ROY CAPE BRETON - Late second round.. .905 save percentage...
Goalies are hard to figure....2nd round is 2nd round

38- TAYLOR DOHERTY KINGSTON - About right I guess, could see him going in the 40s though.
his size is appealing, but he isnt a 2nd round talent....I have him going 60th, but I could see the Isles grabbing him with their 2nd 2nd rouder. Chara 2.0.....they wont trade him away this time...or will they

67- TYSON BARRIE KELOWNA - This guy will go in the 40s, early 50s at the latest. No way he drops down to the third round.
I am of the same opinion as you 45 - 55 range.

i rank players based on how good i think they are not where i see them going in the draft. yes i know kane will end up going 5th or 6th but if i'm picking for a team in the 3 spot i take him. with barrie he may go higher but i would not take him unless the 66 players ahead of him are gone
thanks canuckforever00

luongo win tracker- 3 down 47 to go imo lu will be the 1st goalie to 50 wins

where's the sense in that?

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

because thats how nhl teams do it.

as far as i know nhl teams will make up a top 100 list then figure out how they can get as many on that list as possible

??? Then wouldn't ranking them on how good they are be the same as where they would go in the draft.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

Not really. Some teams look for one thing over another eg MG and his character spiel.

Others look for a player who can step in immediately to help out.

Mg's character spiel is taken out of context....he still wants talent.....If there are 2 comparable talents and one has a higher character he gets drafted.

Some on here think it means, they are going to go off the board to select a character over talent. I dont think that is the case.

We should snag Ferraro just to piss of Ray. God I hate him, and he hates the canucks.

GO CANUCKS GO!

QUOTE (Shift-4 @ Aug 12 2009, 07:46 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
During that game they were showing Gretz on the bench and I said to my son (who was 8 at the time) - do you know who that is?

He said 'Yeah, that is Wayne Gretzky. He is the best player ever. But now he is retarded.' (he meant to say retired)

Is it documented that he hates the canucks?

He is the TEam 1040 all the time, I dont see any hate for them there, or on TSN.

When he did oilers games a couple years ago, he had to be a homer for the Oil, he was there colour guy.

I think he is a pretty good colour guy, but I think Im one of the only ones on CDC who feels this way.

Landon Ferraro is a talented, fast skating goal scorer.....We could use him, but we have other holes to fill first, we already have Grabner and Raymond in the system.

I like Ray Ferraro.

TAYLOR DOHERTY IS NOT A 1ST ROUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is not Tyler Myers, He is not Zdeno Chara!

Just because he is 6'8" doesnt make him either of these guys.

He is a marginal 2nd rounder!

Can Doherty skate like Myers? No. Can Doherty dominate like chara and play in front of the net on a PP? NO> DOHERTY WILL NOT BE PICKED IN THE FIRST ROUND!

Thanks C.M

Ray grew up cheering for the Canucks as a BC boy.

One of his regrets was that he never played for the Canucks.

I heard this the other day on the TEAM, considering he works there I dont think its made up. He is an analyst, and must be impartial.

Interesting also to see how the top 100 lists change from month to month.

My top 90 has changed a lot.

that's my top 100, what do you guys think?

Do you have taylor doherty on there?

I'm not sure which round he fell to but I would sure like to land him,at the start of the year he was 26 I think now I have heard him as low as 5th round and as high as 3rd round what happened there. Is it his skating because considering he is about 6'8 I thought is skating was good, anyways I say if he is there in the 3rd or 4th round we take him

He is 38th.

I wouldnt take the chance on him until the 3rd though. you cant teach 6'8", but 6'8" guys tend to have issues.

Doherty looked awful at the U-18's, although it was a bad tournament for most of the Canadian defensman. I think only de Haan improved his stock, maybe even Olsen, but Depres, Elliott, McNabb, and Doherty looked pretty bad.

With the 53rd pick its likely a better all-around defensman is available, who is less of a risk - like Mcnabb, Ryan Button, Eric Gelinas, even Orlov or Barrie seem less risky to me.

Orlov if willing to come over, could be one of the top 5 defensman to come from this draft. He is 6'0" now, so size isnt much of an issue with him anymore.

If Olsen somehow lasted until our 2nd round pick, I would "cream my jeans", as I heard a lady once say.

I'm curious what are the issues??

and why has his stock fallen so fast in less then 6 months??

just curious

p.s that would be crazy if Boston drafted him LOL
