Where do I put my talk about the ShamWow? I've got lots to say, and no outlet. It's not like a regular cloth, and it's made in Germany, so you know it's good!

What was wrong with the Yann Sauve thread?

“When facism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”-Sinclair Lewis

A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."-Albert Einstein

Would still like to see his offensive game jump to another level next year, it's improving a bit too slowly for my liking.

I am sure his other areas are improving nicely though.

With their playoff position having been firmly established, star Sea Dogs players such as Yann Sauvť and Michael Kirkpatrick were rested on Sunday in anticipation of the impending post-season.

Tristan Grant and Chris DiDomenico were traded.....The SeaDogs are a fairly new franchise, they knew they werent going to go far so they traded some of their guys for future assets.

Possibly a strong run next year with Sauve as an overager and a further developed season from Depres.

I think they are trying for a run for 2 years from now.

Sauve is a solid 2-way defenseman folks....to expect him to light up the league is too much pressure. I see him as a bigger Matthias Ohlund able to contribute offensively and solid defensively.

Not to mention he likes to throw his body around in the open ice.

I'm eager to see what he can bring to the table.
As a defenseman who was drafted 1st overall in the Q draft, there's has to be a lot to be said about him. Although his development hasn't taken off like it was hoped, there's still a lot of potential there.

By the sounds of it, TSN is really pumping up his game - but by other reports, I'd say he's not what they think. From what I've read, he seems to be along the lines of a Shane O'Brien/Kevin Bieksa (when drafted) type of defenseman. Tough, loves to hit decent at clearing the net, good heavy shot, confident, not the most gifted offensive defenseman (although, he seems to think there's plenty of room for development there) and not the best at making decisions

TSN says that he'll be an achor to the Canucks' defense, but from other reports, I say he'll be a 3-5 defenseman.

if you look on HF Boards, Suave was projected to be the best defenceman ahead of doughty in last years draft. of course, this was 2 years before he was taken by us.

Yeah, I think it was mentioned that his development was not as good as the expectation. He was initially projected to have Phaneuf's impact.

Right down to his decision making.

I would say there's still hope, but I just don't see it happening anywhere nearly as fast as Dion. I'll go out and say one more year in Junior, a couple years in the AHL and then work his way into a 4-5 spot in Vancouver by the age of 22/23.

Yann Sauve is huge at 6'3 and 220 pounds.

He's been pretty good offensively with 31 points in in 61 games.

He's -4, although on a weak team.

Yann Sauve is snubbed by Hockeysfuture, again!

In their recent article documenting the top 20 prospects drafted and non drafted in the QMJHL, he was left of the list.

I know he has fallen in a few eyes, but some of the guys on that list are a joke,

Sauve wasnt even mentioned in the honourable mention.

HOckeysfuture's writers are becoming less credible IMO.

Most of those people are showing more potential than Sauve. The only possible questionable ones are Deschamps and Byron. Especially Byron. But Sauve hasn't exactly been blowing people away.

And when you've got Didomenico, McMillan and Esposito taking up 15-18, it's not a bad list to be excluded from.

I think McMillan is a highly overrated prospect, 9 goals in 40+ doesnt shout top prospect to me, and I dont see #14 Marco Scandella a player with 6 more points being that far above Yann.
