Sanford
The few games he played with us in preseason he looked pretty impressive. Ellington on the other hand didn't even have a game... He isisn't even doing good int he ECHL.
avelanch
Sauvé with no points but was +2 in a 3-2 win today. Anthony was also pointless, but was even.
EastCoast47
I dont know if anyone is interested but Sauve's game worn jersey from last year is up for auction on the Sea Dogs website. Steven Anthony's is there as well
avelanch
$100 reserve, and it's a blind auction (meaning you don't know what anyone else bid, so you're forced to bid your max amount, no matter what anyone else bid.
Pinhead
I would list our Prospects as these 1) Jordan Schroeder 2) Yann Sauve 3) Cory Schneider 4) Cody Hodgson
ballsdeepfreeze
^^^^^Really? Hodgy 4th, lower than Sauve?! That's absolutely bonkers, why so high on Schroeder? Or are you just of the opinion Cody sucks donkey after having a poor camp and sitting out all year thus far?

He's got a hate on for Hodgson and a hard on for Sauve, that basicly tells the story of his list the rest fall into position under those pretenses. Pinhead
See, here again is the ridiculousness of the 'reputation' system. I put up a post where I think the order of our prospects are. I didnt put Hodgson high enough for the mob mentality so I get a minus 3????? That is ridiculous. fourth is not some LOUSY rating. Its not like I put down he was 540th or something. There is no shame in Cody being fourth. Hes had 3 pro opportunities and has hit a wall . Its his skating really. Putting negatives to my post are simply for pure SPITE. Well to be honest I didn't even know there was a reputation system till you mentioned it, and it doesn't really matter because it is only based on people's opinions and of course only on how many of those people even vote. It only matters as much as you care about it.

MrTubesteak
There is no shame in Cody being fourth. Hes had 3 pro opportunities and has hit a wall . What is this wall of which you speak? How is Sauve any better off than Cody? Sauve didn't make the team in 2 camps. He *never* played for the Moose (in the playoffs) when he was called up. He was cut from the WJHC team last year and wasn't even at their summer camp this year. Is that the wall you're talking about? Putting negatives to my post are simply for pure SPITE. You may have had Cody rated #4 on your list, but you're the #1 douchebag on these boards. So yeah, I suspect it was half out of spite and half because you're an idiot for rating him so low. Jimmy_the_scot
I didn't see the reputation thing either. I guess that's a good addition. No more QFT or +1 posts? Pinhead, you do know that Hodgson is only just starting to skate again now right? If he was fit and had that performance I could see the complaint, but you're obviously blinded by some irrational dislike for the guy. Trying to play through that injury was very stupid of him but it showed guts and determination. I had a similar injury and I am stunned that he was able to skate at all with it. I'm fine now and I'm sure Cody will be too. Anyway, can we get back to talking about Sauve in this thread? He's a great prospect and I'd quite like to hear more about him. Canvoucer Vanuck
Agree, I thought this was a Sauve thread? Anyway, it's good to see that he's flourished under the new coaching system - hope he can destroy his totals from last season and keep dominating the rest of the Q offensively and defensively. DeNiro
Sauve with an assist tonight, now up to 12 points in 17GP. Sea Dogs win 6-2 and are 1st overall in the QMJHL with a 17-4-1 record.
Sergei Shirokov
Sauve > the reigning CHL player of the year? Thats absolutely ridiculous. I could see the argument for Schnedier, Schroeder > Hodgson, but Sauve? Comon.
Abaddon
See, here again is the ridiculousness of the 'reputation' system. Nope, it's the ridiculousness of the "what have you done for me lately" attitude that crushes rational thought around these boards.
Canvoucer Vanuck
Man the Sea Dogs are ripping it up so far this season, let's hope Sauve and Anthony can keep this up!
DeNiro
Sauve with no points tonight, but he was a +2 rating in a 6-3 win for the Sea Dogs. Man that team is ripping it up this year, 18-4-1 record now. Lets hope for a Memorial Cup run from them this year, that would be great experience for both Anthony and Sauve. Canvoucer Vanuck
If this team makes it to even the QMJHL finals, let alone the Memorial Cup tournament, it would already be a great accomplishment for them. There is nothing like a long playoff run in terms of valuable experience for young players like Sauve and Anthony, for them to learn what it takes to win battles, turn up the intensity level and kick it into high gear in the postseason. If Sauve pulls a Hodgson (e.g makes it to the finals, then joins the Moose for their own Calder Cup playoffs and chips in) that would just complete another monster season for a Canucks prospect. That'd be pretty darn special already.
