7.5/8 so far
West
Vancouver 4 Chicago 2 -1-1- Should give Chicago credit, they're a great team. Vancouver experience should prevail.
Detroit 4 Anaheim 3 -1-1- Anaheim has the ability to neutralize the Wings snipers, possible upset.
East
Washington 4 Pittsburgh 3 -2-0- Both great teams, tossup, gotta go with my boy Ovie tho.
Boston 4 Carolina 2 -1-1- Carolina won't go as easy as Mtl, but Boston will come out on top.

Luongo takes many games to get in form every year, as well as apparently after injury, and he's a pro...

Don't get me wrong I hope he comes through and I think he will but it still could be awhile yet.
Are people really this blind and stupid?
Comparing Schneider to Sanford?
There is a reason why Scheider is a Number 1 Goalie in the AHL. The main reason there the best is because of Cory Schneider Dominating.
Sanford is 29.
Schneider 23.

Haha Cory isn't going to wait 5 years to make the jump to NHL. This season might even be his last in the AHL as he should start getting eased into some NHL starts next year.

Thanks R.Luongo. for the sig!=)

If he doesn't get it its because of games played, but that really shouldn't be an issue if he's winning as much as the leaders. More losses shouldn't gain credibility.

having success in AHl doesn't really mean anything
Totally agree... Look at Jason Krog last year.
or if steve nash didn't have a hat trick

I'll bet Gillis will convince Ottawa he is the star defenceman they have been lacking and give us Heatly for him.

Perhaps you should re read my post again. You don't understand it.
Or the 20 other the other posts that say it doesn't always translate to the NHL. No one is saying that Cory is like Sanford but Sanford has the same stats
down their and he can't even start in the Nhl. Cory hasn't had a fair shot yet. The proof is in the pudding, he had a tough time with his first chance. Krog was the MVP of the AHL he got a cup of coffee as a courtesy here.
But Gillis and his coach refused to use the injury as an excuse for Hodgson's sub-par camp.
"He's been cleared to play for 10 days and we're in a time frame now where things need to get better," Gillis said. "He needs to show that he is ready and capable of participating at this level on a good team." (Vancouver Province)

Using that rationale nobody would go from to the AHL to the NHL.

If a 20 year old wins MVP, he'd be heralded as a future all star player.
Hopefully some people can understand that...
Using older players as examples is probably the dumbest thing you can do.
To be honest, I would gladly trade Luongo for Mason straight up right now...

I'll strongly disagree.
There's no way, barring injury, that Luongo sits 3 or 4 games in a row and watches his backup play. Luongo should be paid what he deserves and we should continue to build around him.
See the game tonight?
He's our captain and our franchise.

I can almost guarantee Schneids will back up Luongo and start 15 games, minimum. He needs NHL exposure.
