I quite like the mix. I like that we have Luongo as captain. It's like covering your bases and having a canadian captain with a european background. I like that we have some good BC boys. I also like that we have a full compliment of swedes. What do you guys think about this?

I dont think it really matters?

Now having said that ...I know someone is gonna mention that no team has won the cup with a european captain. I think it's the team as a whole who wins not the individual players...yes some players take over a game and steal it for you but overall it's a team game

Who cares about ethnicity? The key is having a group of players, whatever nationality, that come together as a cohesive, smart, tough unit that can handle the grind and prevail after 4 rounds of Stanley Cup playoff hockey.

Well, when two people love each other very much, bees do stuff to each other like rabbits, and you get dropped babies who grow up to be the OP. What was the question again?

QUOTE (in canucks god trusts @ Jan 31 2009, 01:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
ok seriously wtf is up with us, like is it even realistic for us to win or is winning a myth to the canucks. we need to win todays game or it will be a myth.

Never wanted Kesler to be traded.

Where are all these rumors coming from?!

QUOTE (suomistyler @ Nov 27 2007, 10:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
It came from Pierre Maqueer's crack when he squated to take a recent dump. Apparently the reverberation of the fart in the toilet sounded like "kesler," so he asked his good buddy Eklund to confirm the rumour and Eklund endorsed it by giving it an 'E4.'

What does it matter? We have a few Fins, a Dane, a Yankee, a Slovakian, 5 Swedes....and 14 Canadians. What does breaking down a team into races or countries of origin get you? Nothing. We have a great mix of players, and that has nothing to do with ethnicity.
The resident Sedin Hater. And one of many Vignault Haters.
Gillis has said he won't force a player to waive his NTC, or even ask him to. Make a note of it.
The current CBA states that a player cannot have a 50% paycut or more within three years of the same contract.

I'm sick of the whole "Euros aren't good enough" argument to be honest. 2 words...

I think that this probably didn't need a new thread. We all know that the canucks have a better team this year as opposed to last. End of story.

To be honest, I would gladly trade Luongo for Mason straight up right now...

Wow. Racist much? Why does it even matter if they're European or Canadian? Detroit last year proved that.

Right now our roster is heavily biased towards the Northern Hemisphere.

This might come back to bite us in the later rounds.

Get on it Gillis!

Pimpage, pure and simple.
