This guy looks like he could be a NHL stud in a couple years and possibly crack the lineup as early as next year. If he keeps working and gets a little bigger.
Good Job Mike Gillis, I know you could do it!

I agree that he's shown solidly in the games he's played in lately. Good to have a good prospect like that in the system.

Will probably crack the line-up next year...

Him with Edler was just awsome.

Very impressed with Oberg. He has gotten better and better the more he has played in the pre-season.

Man he is so much better than his stats suggest. he is so smooth and calm, very patient. I love that in his game.

Yeah, he's starting to look good. Took him a while to get steady/confident though.

Edler point prediction: 12 goals, 33 assists and 45 points / Edler point counter: 0 goals, 7 assists and 7 points.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some NHL action this season.

Definitely agree with this. Early on he looked quite shaky, actually, and he made some pretty poor puck decisions in the defensive end. Once he calmed down and gained confidence, he looked a lot better.

I think Michael Funk will be the first to get called up. He's got NHL size, good 2-way ability, over 2 years of Pro experience...that and he looked really good last game. Time will tell of course, but he is my early favorite ahead of guys like Oberg and McIver.

There is also Nycholat, but I see him getting claimed.

Agreed. I thought he looked pretty bad in the first game I saw him in, and I was quite disappointed. As you said, he seemed to gain confidence as he went along and really made some sharp plays out there. He still made some glaring errors, but for the most part he looked excellent. I think he'll do well on the Moose and really start honing his game.
You are.

I'm not saying first call up, just wouldn't be surprised if he got some NHL action. God forbid that any of defense gets the injury bug.

Not a good way to start things off for the Moose, who was that Heat player who nailed Evan?

I never even got to see the pictures. At least Alicia Whitten made it worth my while to click on the thread.

Evan did not play tonight in game 2 against the Heat. They were beat again, 6 - 3. They really need Schneider and Grabner...

Seems he's ok... he's played in both Moose games last week, no points, -1 rating.

He looked really solid last night (i was able to watch online). He made some really good defensive plays and looked really calm/smart back there. I noticed him for all the right reasons all night long.

Looks to be a good pick up, still atleast another season in the AHL away from being a full time NHL player but all in all hes been a very nice pick up so far. We need some help with our prospect blue line. RIP Luc.

Sauve
Oberg
Connauton
Ellington
Price
Andersson

If 3 of that list can become full time NHL players which isn't asking anything unrealistic, we should be in good shape. 4 isn't stretching it either with the talent level.
