I think we should sign this guy to a ATO or something, he seems like a good player and has been good in the OHL playoffs, his draft year past already but I think he would become a serviceable Moose player in the future.
Can the moose do that?

When is his draft year?

I've heard that Kyle Wellwood says his brother plays a bit like Kesler.

He can be drafted this year, you can be drafted until 20 then you become a UFA, in which case the Moose could sign him.

He was drafted in the 6th round in last years draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He attended TML camp this season.

How was Franzen drafted? Does the 20 year old rule only apply to North American players playing in the junior leagues here?

He was 25 when he got drafted

Thanks canuckforever00

Didn't he get a contract with the leafs?

Edit: never mind . I don't think he did.

I would so love to get Welly on the team. If he plays like Kesler he's already got the market. I love Ryan's play. Kyle did a great job of flanking to the side yesterday, alot of players did. I was taken aback by how great the players did on controlling the offensive zone with the Bure flank move. I really loved it. Raymond made it look pretty, and same with Demitra. Pavol's really a good playoff performer. I loved his hits!! He needs to get his elbows up ala the Pavelian one, lol! Great game boys, I loved the game. Now back to coughing and hacking, lol! Probably gonna watch the game today, I think it's the Canadiens and the Bruins. I wanna see the Canadiens win, but Lucic is the bomb! He played for the Giants hey. Too bad he got the tail end of that suspension. I think he was kinda defending himself, but he got a little over zealous. He needs to learn that he has to turn the other cheek if he wants to get far in the playoffs. We need to do that a bit here too, just for preservation purposes. But we do need to protect out stars. Couch V will have to meditate on this one with the Force me thinks...

1.Wallflowers - Heroes
2.I'm gonna buy a bunch of Red Mitten's for my baby's mamma and her other child that loves me.
3.We've got a lot of great depth in our line up this year. We can definitely still do this. Raycroft is pretty good a goalie.

It looks like he has the same body type as Kyle and for the most part unimpressive numbers.

Yes, the rules are different for European players, or at least they were pre-lockout.

While his regular season numbers aren't that impressive, he seems to have stepped up his game in the OHL playoffs.

I guess he's been following his brother's lead ;)

Credit to cf00 for this amazing sig!

Definitely a kid to keep an eye on...
His numbers don't look too impressive in the regular season..but if he scores timely goals like he did today, then it shouldnt matter at all

His goal was pretty good, but you cant judge a player on one play. But i would draft him later on in the draft. 4th or 5th round.

What are you talking about? He's got an unbeatable 50 big mac swallowed in a minute record.

At least we don't have lots of posters saying the Nucks should have traded for him.

I would have sent a letter bomb to Gillis if he traded a 2nd and a 3rd for Schneider.

QUOTE (N. Dynamite @ Apr 16 2009, 09:15 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
and...there winning! Like I said before, if he scores one goal in the playoffs at the right time 6 million means nothing! Hell, if he doesn't even score and we win the cup I will shave my head bald and change my name to "Mats."
