Craig Simpson is a non-Canuck team homer. He can't stop praising any team that plays the Canucks (Blues/Hawks). Throughout the entire game he goes on and on about thier players. Even when the Canucks scored he was going off how great of a save Khabibulin made.

Jim Hughson HAS to talk about the Canucks to at least balance the coverage of the play for both sides. We all know he is a Canucks fan but he usualy does very well to be impartial. I'm finding that he has to defend the Canucks because all Craig can analyze is how great the Hawks/Blues are.

I've had enough of him already. Doesn't he realize he is on the CBC. A CANADIAN broadcast. You might want to praise at least a couple nice plays by the Canucks. I'd say 90% of the viewers would be watching as Canucks fans or bandwagoners.

Anyone else notice this? Where is the mute Craig Simpson button?

No kidding. He was brutal tonight. Even when Jim said the Canucks played well, Simpson went off on a "the canucks have been playing horribly" rant. That guy is actually terrible.

First it was Greg Millen, now it's Craig Simpson.
From a Flames homer to a Oilers homer. This is just great.......

That is why they need to completely regionalize broadcasts. I want commentators that are biased to the Canucks if I am watching a Canucks telecast! lol

Who didn't love it, 15 years ago tonight, when Bure scored the goal, as Robson was calling it all you heard was "yeeeaahhh" in the background from Larscheid.

I don't see the problem with it, it's nice to hear about what the other team's doing.

Thanks to CC19 for the sig!

So true, even my dad couldn't stop saying how terrible the commentators were, saying it's like they were Hawks fans or something.

Didn't watch the game tonight, but Craig Simpson is always pretty good to listen to.

You're probably overreacting.

the most annoying thing about simpson is that he thinks he has to explain everything about the game like the fans don't know anything about hockey. He talks way to much. We watch and feel the game and don't need everything dissected and verbalized to death.

As far as announcers not liking the nucks who really gives a crap.

Hence why I have slowly learned to tune out most broadcasters. Although refereeing has given me that ability quite well.

You would've heard Don Wittman on the CBC broadcast of that goal. Perhaps asking John Garrett or Marc Crawford to the booth would make the commentary a bit more Canuck-friendly.

I don't mind hearing criticism of the Canucks or praise for the Hawks - as long as it's accurate. Simpson was being a little ridiculous tonight.

I don't have a problem with hearing about the other team as well. But when it is so over the top, it is just too much. I can't remember one single positive thing Craig Simpson said about the Canucks. You still have to be somewhat unbiased.

I know what you mean, but he can't even do that right.
